IMMJ2 - The journey and a question ⁉️

Hi guys,

Just had a question in mind from some time ... Would be great if you guys weigh in your opinions.

As we all know the show is now shifting to OTT which though has some pros , is still sad and not expected for a show like IMMJ2.

Well I know the story development and execution was not par excellence recently but still if we see the show and Jodi are quite popular and also the TRP ( which is considered a major factor for the shift) is not much behind it's competitors and also much in race compared to colours prime time shows.(guess we will never know actual agenda of colours)

But my question is more in regards to the TRP. We know this is the 2nd season in the IMM franchise.

Have never been a watcher of the 1st season but heard that it's TRP were quite good and also it ran for a long time on TV.

Can anyone of you site the difference between the two...

Because as far as I think the cast is better in season 2. Even the chemistry between the cast is great, of course RiAnsh being the best... Even kava vangre ...etc

One advantage I see the season 1 having might be time slot.

But as we seem to think that immj2 trp goes low because it's a thriller and not exactly the trp audience type but same was the concept for season1 as well ....

Was the creative and writing team different last season?

What is lacking/ went wrong ??

The makers were rushed in the beginning. Lousy sometimes. Took two major wrong decision of scrapping Vihan and Initiate Revenge Drama with a wrong chord. Its thoroughly the editing and execution part lacking. Season 1 is a horrible in matters of content and story. S02 is better far more better in matter of writing. What they lack is execution and judging the pulse of fans wrongly.

Firstly Thriiler and Romamce is a hard combination to b maintained. It becomes more difficult when u show it daily. So for me the thriller quotient was average here. Romance and Relationship was given priority and showcased in a better way

Secondly

Alisha Panwar and Arjun Bijlani were good actors but the season one has a horrible story but their execution was good. But Season 2 was a potential plot with really really a very well aced Cast. They visibly lacked execution.

Thirdly

For a thriller 10-00 or 10-30 is best. But as a opening show Both the seasons did a fair job in matters of trp. S1 used to come at 7-30, so for me it does not matter.

Vansh 's cliff fall was a risky decision. Makera take it. I appreciated it. But from then onwards they start fluctuating in matter of execution. They started with many potential and brilliant plot but could not give it a culmination point. The most imp thing is the climax in any thriller. They lacked in it. They literary disappointed them who were rooted for thriller. I was not one of them bcoz I am a romantic person and Riansh gave me the reason of fulfllment. I dont consider it a thriller at all.Mamta sucks in writing thriller. Neither the S0 1Nor the second season was a thriller.

If u really want to.watch a thriller written by Mamta u must try Main na Bhuloongi in U tube. It ran for156 episodes and that was a social thriller. Its available in You tube and probably in Sony Live.com.

Vihaan track tak execution issues.

Revenge track writing issues. Ahana track was not all needed. Vihaan track should have continued for revenge.

Season 1's story was good for just starting to jail track. When trps was 2+, but then it's story got down and down. About trps, that times new trps rules was not there and their time slot was 7:30pm. So when tu ashiqui start with IMMJ, it got same trps as IMMJ. But after some months it's trps gone down and it got off air. So time slot is a big matter. Even when IMMJ 1's trps was getting down, it got change from many months before going off air. But if we compare with both shows overall story IMMJ 2's story is still much more better than IMMJ 1.

Now about IMMJ 2's short run on TV. It has not only one reason but many. First Channel and PH's expectations for more trps because IMMJ 2 got 1.7 trps at 7pm after years on Colors when many shows got flop after tu ashiqui. So their more expectations made makers to try for some unwanted unexpected twist like Vansh's jumping and it was their first mistake . Then their 2nd mistakes was revenge track with 3rd angle and it was also for more trps for sure. But it also got backfired and then no proper promotions on TV. So after then people lost connections. But still according to time slot IMMJ 2 doing average. So if we see new trps rules and colors other's shows conditions and IMMJ 2's rivals shows trps, IMMJ 2 is doing fair right now. But now also Channel thinking about using it's online popularity to get benefits.

And now peoples don't care about IMMJ 1. But peoples still want IMMJ 2 to gets at least one chance on TV. And that's the success of IMMJ 2 than IMMJ 1. Audiences love IMMJ 2 more than IMMJ 1. So it's got one more chance in online.

So now when everyone getting addicted to mobile than TV, I don't think it's bad decisions. I don't want the show to go on air for years like others shows. Those shows won't be remembered if goes off air. But IMMJ 2 will be remembered for sure and now with online telecast it can go higher. I will be okay with it's few months journey in online, but story should be good like it's initial episodes.

So without thinking about its past, let's accept it's present, it's all achievements and it's new journey on Voot. Overall actors are happy with it's achievements and journey, so we should be happy too, because we can watch them some more times if OTT news is true.
