Since we were talking about this bit yesterday, I had to take a pass at gif-ing it😆

Waise mera forum thread has become chat adda going in all kinds of tangents😆.....so I think I'll post this point here without distractions.....

I think as usual people are already imagining 10 steps ahead and expecting resolutions/realizations from Adi that don't go with where his character currently is.....

Chalo I'll use our fav. Shivaay-NKK wala parallel only to simplify.....what Shivaay's NKK was to him, Adi's marriage to Malini is to him.....infact, in some ways it's even worse....Shivaay ke case mein we could still see his NKK struggle visibly but Adi ke case mein toh the blinders are on an emotional level, not even a "practical" level as they were for Shivaay with NKK......so given that, it's even trickier to show him consciously moving towards Imlie when he is almost programmed to only coddle Malini as his wife.

Anika was the exception to Shivaay's NKK....he eventually learnt to view her outside those parameters, make a whole other space for her in his life.....Shivaay always made and lived by his own rules so in some ways it was easier for him to defy everything and pursue Anika on his own terms......here Adi is constricted by his own righteous complex and his skewed perception about his relationship with Malini.....toh his situation is 100 times harder cuz his soul might feel a connect with Imlie but he doesn't even know where to BEGIN making space for her in this life that he himself has declared is only attached to Malini.....lol

So basically what I'm saying is ki logon ko aadat daal leni chahiye that Adi is not going to consciously accept two things atleast for quite a while.....a) That he feels anything for Imlie beyond general zimmedaari.....and b) That Imlie is his valid wife

I personally feel that makers can build a good track around proper friendship between Adi-Imlie.....clearly Adi wants to find a way for her to come back but he also can't accept the label of husband from her.....so ideally he should try to find a new label for their rishta in the interim....dosti hi banaa lo - and he can use that as an excuse for taking care of her, helping her etc.....lol.....this daily spinning of wheels where Imlie is like you are my pati but it's ok I'm not thopoing anything on you and Adi's like "I'm not your pati but I still want to do so much to help you"😆.....they need to find a workaround.

With that, I have as usual dialed my expectations to below zero for this week....we got 3 good epis at the end of last week....toh aage ka pattern usually flip maarega in some ways😆......if they manage to show some good scenes of Adi even missing Imlie, main utne mein hi progress maan lungi.....haha

This is next level down market I saw the clips on colors ka page and cringed .. they did a whole press con an hour long yesterday poora SBS and SBB tha and YT autoplayed so heard like 30 secs and just died by sargun so proudly saying how her and Ravi wrote this as a fun thing and then decided to make a show she was blabbing so much how novel it is and am like ghanta novel and original every other show has same shit and atleast cast toh better kar lete itne wahhiyaat actors hain.. I am sorry but Canadian flag chunni and air Canada ka free promotion is hardly unique

Exactly with anika atleast he knew she was his exception he knew consciously he felt something for her and that happened caz for him his shaadi with Tia was anyways a business deal hence he allowed himself to feel itna bhi and acknowledge that anika is beyond all thay though the NKK kept holding him back.. but that exception was made caz of his no emotional attachment whatsoever. I have the same feeling....he makes a very DELIBERATE effort to shut Imlie out and these attempts will likely keep increasing the more he starts feeling for her.....isiliye aise sab out of control phoot phoot ke baahar aata hai isse cuz he suppresses so much that when it comes out, he doesn't know how to manage it....and agar koi point out kar de that he's expressing this much emotion towards Imlie toh phir toh aur bhi deliberately usko downplay karta hai.

Bus scene mein bhi, he only let go of her when she asked him WHY he's come to stop her....it's like finally us moment mein ise realize hua that he doesn't have a valid reason😆....usse pehle 2-2 baar please bhi bol chuka tha Imlie ko totally in the flow of instinct😆.....but jab koi kuch consciously question karta hai, he retreats into the world he's created for himself.

He had such a helpless heartbreak wala expression when she told him to let her go....

And then the shutters came down slowly when she asked why he's stopping her and he flashbacked to AC ka sindoor wala taunt....it's like his mind went to the obligation reflex first and that is the only thing that made him let go

Imlie bechaari couldn't even look into his eyes when she said that she doesn't want to stay with him😆....it was so painful for her ki aakhein band karke bolna padaa....if Adi actually samjhoed her, he would have picked up instantly ki woh yeh sab apne hurt mein kar rahi hai to pull back from him and she herself doesn't want to be away from him.
