Watched last 3 episodes of Imlie today and I was floored, it just came out of the blue. Also I think having no expectations helps, in my case though since I read you guys review I did have some expectations and it really lived up to it and more. I never thought they would show such nuanced growth in Adi- Imlie relationship, especially since this is essentially a family drama type of a show.
Absolutely loved all Adi- Imlie scenes and a big 👏 to both ST and GM!!
There is such a huge shift in the dynamics here! We have an Adi who is pleading Imlie to not leave and Imlie is firm on her decision , what a role reversal. Loved the writing especially Imlies dialogues, when things move organically it makes such a lasting impact.
Coming to the episodes now. 😆Adi is so rationally trying to explain Imlie about looking for a good partner and making a life for herself, every point he made was valid. While he is busy trying to convince Imlie, she is getting hurt by his words and you see that in her eyes and face. When he says tum achhe se ladke se shaadi karlo and she just looks up with hurt and pain in her eyes , but he keeps going on and then she just stops him saying bas kijiye. At this point you see something break irreparably for her. Something to which she was holding on to so dearly, finally snaps! ST was so damn good in this entire scene, she spoke through her eyes and her body language.
Adi started with so much conviction about his own thought process which he felt is the best for Imlie. But how very simply did she blow away his convictions that he ended up saying tum nahi samajh paogi chhodo hame is baare mein aage baat nahi karni. 😆( here he behaved exactly like Malini) BS was first rendered speechless when she stops him in his tracks when he tries to tell her she is his zimmedari. She gets so offended by the constant usage of that word and tells him straight up that jise aap meherbani kehte hai, woh mere liye sabse bada apmaan hai. Lol that had him fumbling and he genuinely says sorry for all the times he has said so much bura bhala to her.
There was such a sharp difference in both of them trying go put their POV forward, Adi was trying to validate by telling her ke her soch is galat , while Imlie is trying to put her POV by simply asking him to respect her beliefs without ever trying to make a single point to prove him or his soch galat!! She simply tells him “ hum apne vishwaas ko kaise galat maan le? “
She also takes note and accepts all his valid concerns for her , so decides she won’t work like a maid and she will be independent and apne pairo pe khade rehkar dikhayegi. But she would not add another name to hers and Adibabu goes bas isi soch ko badalna hai. Lol at Imlies expression to this😆, she literally had is bail buddhi ko kono baat samajh ma na aayi expression. 😆
Aww... at her trying to maintain distance by not touching her and my heart went🥺 when she sits on a scooter with her back turned. The dejection and sadness of Imlie really hurt. 😭
Then comes the 7 year rishta couple. 😆 She simply comes up with Vishwaas ka rang safed hota hai theory.😳🤔 One more dhamki, agar hum aap par vishwaas na kare to mar hi na jaaye. 😆Yeh to har baat pe mar hi jaati hai🤣 Adi to raat ko sota bhi kaise hai IDK. 😆
Lol I know my thoughts must sound all jumbled up, sorry par I really liked the episode. 😆
She literally had this itna samjhaya par BS ke palle kuchh bhi nahi pada.
