Yes the word 'bachchi' was a give away. He has never directly called her bachchi and the only other person he's mentioned her as a bachchi is PP. So it was a direct hint to him that she's overheard. So Virat's immediate reaction was to look at PP and back to Sai 😛😛

After Said spoke up, bhavani started calling her "tum" instead of "tu"
