I loved reading books, FFs, wattpad's stories but nowadays haven't read anything, can't concentrate even in my most favourite stories..

Can you please suggest some The alchemist types books please..

Chocolat (2000) by Joanne Harris. I initially watched it for Johnny Depp. But Juliette Binoche and Alfred Molina's performance blew me away. All the changes they made to the book took it to another level. I'm not the best person to recommend Alchemist kinda books because I haven't read Alchemist myself😉

In books, I read literary fiction and non-fiction.

Currently, I'm reading A Fortunate Age by Joanna Rakoff and Sylvia Plath's biography.

I hope you will like the movie. The book is rather meh.

I prefer movies because I have the attention span of a three year old.

Every time I try to read a book, short story, short passage, long sentence, I lose track midway and have to reread the entire thing.

Once I was reading "the importance of being earnest". And after like 2-3 pages, I completely forgot who this Algernon is. Then I went back to page one to realise he is the main character aur isi ke ghar mein hai ye act.

Books give you the liberty to picture and interpret the story in your own way while movies are somebody else's interpretation of the story. Most of the times I would prefer watching a movie and be done with it but there is no denying that it can not replace the experience of reading the book. Also because a movie needs to be told in limited time so it doesn't have that kind of depth and character development.
