I know Annie’s handling of the situation has been terrible but I hope in the end she isn’t left alone. She is not the villain.

Is Ek Din a magic realism romance?

I am really excited to see the next episode! Amal seems to know what she is doing and it is going to be epic. I feel like the game has just begun. Sami and Sumbul have amazing chemistry, I loved their scenes together, you could seriously feel the intensity.
I have never really liked Mashal's acting, but kudos to her she was really good. Annie's parents are so incredibly stupid, the advice they gave her was so pathetic, you'd think educated people would not use these dumb log kya kahenge excuses.
Although we saw Mikaal burn the Nikaah paper, I think he might have had a copy in his closet and that's what he was looking for.
How dare this Mikhaal🤬. After getting caught red handed he had the guts to behave like that with Ani?🤬I am not even going to talk about what I thought of him when he gave to Amal that ghatia offer of living together secretly in his flat, because he luuurves her. Good thing she slapped the heck out of him, should have maroed with her chappal too.😵🤢
And Ani’s parents toh just forget it man. It shows where us girls are even in this 2020. One is bin baap ke gareeb Amal and the other is ameer baap ke beti Ani, but both are getting the exact same treatment from people around them and the man because of whom they are here.🤢
I am just fuming with anger and helplessness because this is not just limited to some drama but the harsh reality the girls live in even today. :(
Amal is right. Mikhaal is responsible for everything that she is going through and will be going through in the future as well. He sold her off for a darn car, her mom sold her off for 50 Lakhs and Shahmeer is already planning to get rid of her after using her for a week where it wont be a shock if he was already planning to sell her off to get his 50 lakhs back. So this is what Mikhaal has done to an innocent lower middle class girl Amal who was just busy studying and doing something with for herself and her family- made her into a good candidate for Prostitution. :( This is scary because this is hits close to home for a lot of girls who find themselves overnight in such a situation. The red light areas of the entire world are filled with such stories.
EDIT: The dialog of the episode is Ani’s “ Mom, should two women fight for a man that too for a dhokebaaz man like Mikhaal?’👏 when her mom gives her the pathetic idea of fighting for her rights with Amal for Mikhaal.😵

I really hope Amal and Annie walk away from those men with their head held high.

Faizan Khawaja is also a part of this show
HE is SO so cute
Bechari Annie has real concerns about Mikal and her mother should have been more supportive. After listening to Annie’s doubts, telling her to fight for her marriage only because divorced women are frowned upon in society is just wrong! 🤢
Annie is a strong girl and although spoilt and possessive by nature, she has realised some things aren’t worth the stress. She is in a superior position even if she gets divorced compared to Amal. Annie has everything going for her, she is from a good high status family, she’s rich, pretty and it’s implied she’s still a virgin. She should stand up for herself and understand that she can do far better than sticking with her cousin who she finally knows doesn’t love her and never will.
Funny how they talked about two women fighting over a man when it’s actually two men fighting over Amal.
Shahmeer is rotten to the core. He doesn’t want to marry Amal with any izzat but intends to use her for just a week and keep the whole thing hidden from his unsuspecting family.
Can’t believe Amal agreed to marry him and sacrifice herself just because her greedy no good stepmom gets money. I guess it’s a genius plan to force Mikal to own up to the Nikah, but imagine if he didn’t come to stop the wedding? She’d be ruined after a week by Shahmeer.
So next episode Mikal will stop the wedding with proof of their Nikah, but then what? Will he take Amal as his wife openly? Is that the izzat she has been waiting for? Will she tell Shahmeer the wedding’s off and still take the money? ...if I was Amal I’d get Farnaz to record the whole thing and use it as blackmail against him 😈

I've just watched this episode. Then I read your review.. you spoked my mind perfectly.. except for the last part.I can't think of blackmailing Shahmeer.😆
The electrifying chemistry between Sami and Sumbul.. the intensity of their scenes were on high level.😲 Their meeting that night when he holded her but she broke free from her.. wow , I couldn't breath.😳
However I am sick of Mikaal's cowardness. He is a man ,there's none to threat him, no father, and his mom is a supportive one, so why can't he take his wife Amal under his wing?😕 just for money? He can sau his uncle. Does his uncle and money matter more than his beloved wife?😕 I feel that Amal doesn't love him anymore.. she just wants to expose him. I think she'll seek khula from him.

@ above - When he told her he wouldn’t divorce her, why can Amal just divorce him? Couldn't she have got her khula from him in the first place and saved herself all the stress? Is it because she needs the paper proof, but how did she know Mikal still had it anyway when it was supposed to be destroyed?
I've seen this in multiple dramas that a woman got married or got divorced but she has no proof in the form of some document. I wonder why women don't ask for a copy of Nikkah Nama after getting married. Even though 'Dulhan' was a ridiculous drama yet, at least, girls should get this from it that when you marry a man, and that too in a secretive way, then please keep some evidence of it with you.

I don’t think she knows if mikaal still has it or not. It’s tht she doesn’t have it n mikaal denies the marriage in public so she has no proof in the eyes of a court to get divorced. This is precisely why you have witnesses in marriage to avoid such deeds. However in this case witnesses are bribed or dead. Amal just wants mikaal to accept this marriage in front of the world. Like he does or is abt to from wat we see in the next episode promo.
