Nai yaar aaj to sach me aisa laga the whole family loves Shaurya and want to make him happy even Tej. Wo surf last me Deviji ko mu kholna tha aur bache ka mood spoil karna tha.

Exactly.
I would love to see some father son bonding.
In Khalid sir's previous show Mariam Khan reporting live, he shared good chemistry and bond with his daughters. I wish we could see that here.
They are wasting his talent in playing Devdas, they could do much more.
Yes but now I think due to channel pressure their entire focus will be shifted to the couple and not individual bonds and their individual arcsExactly.

I have been saying from the beginning that both Shaan and Aastha here are a downgrade from their counterparts in the original (no offence to the actors, they are doing a great job). Despite being flawed, they were my favourite characters in that show. Shaan was never supposed to be so spineless and so indifferent to his son's plight. There is still some potential left in the character and I hope the writers pay attention to develop his arc. There are a lot of interesting and complex characters in the show in addition to the leads like Shaan, Aastha, Devi, Tej, even Rama and Babli and the story will be interesting if they are explored properly
Woh hug bhi kisi kaam ka nahi tha, since iske baad everything still got diverted towards Aastha, Devi will be Devil but at least Shaan for one day could have stopped naa. Shaurya was so happy before that.
Honestly in all this fiasco, more than even Devi it is Shaan whom I am blaming the most
He couldn’t stand up for his wife and beta and it almost feels likely usko shaurya se toh kuch Matlab hi nahi, Aastha at least kuch toh care dikhati hai, Shaan just seems Naam ka father.
I want ki even after knowing the whole truth, shaurya should still be disappointed and angry on Shaan.
You can’t be so spineless at least not as a father, apne bachchon ke liye to log kya kya nahi karte and here he was not even able to stop the manipulation of that devil.
Most spineless character of all time.
I agree but I am not keeping my hopes high. ITV never do a good job of handling secondary characters and their arcs.Originally posted by: Idiotboxer

True he comes off whimpy and hapless by roaming around giving dukhi vibes. If you love your wife so much just choose her and get on with her and your life. Give Shaurya some closure and clarity. No wonder Shaurya feels so lonely even after being surrounded by a large family. The family at least care and works to make him happy. You can't even do that. I am running short of patience with his character.Originally posted by: EternalSoul17

I can understand he's depressed about it but come on, dude. 25 years and not even once has he been able to make a proper bond with his son? That sort of shows that maybe Shaan deserves that cold shoulder from Shaurya.
In the early episode when Shaan helps Anokhi with the admission, Shaurya looks on to them. It is proof enough to say that Shaurya wants to build a bond like that with Shaan but Shaan doesn't give him that kind of attention.
As much as Devi is responsible for Shaurya's hatred against Aastha, Shaan is responsible too. Aastha had left but Shaan could have handled it better. Grieving is okay but he left Shaurya so open and vulnerable to manipulation is what might be key to him hating Aastha.
I liked Shaan where he was loving and supportive towards Aastha and Anokhi but why not extend the same to his own son? I still like that side of him which shows he is a capable father but just when is he going to give Shaurya the same amount of affection?
In today's episode too Shaan noticed immediately that Anokhi was hurt and inquired about Astha's health. Shaan couldn't notice his own Son's hurt. He is so dense to his suffering. He really for his attention. I think deep down Shaan resents Shaurya a bit as he felt he couldn't be with Astha due to Shaurya. I don't really get Shellfish parents. Shaan just care about his own pain and his "Noor". He immediately bonded and cared for Anokhi because Astha said i love her like my daughter. Like seriously dude? What about your own son?Originally posted by: AliChase
