You sound like you want to be an author someday. For that, gaining a good following and reads on Wattpad will be great for you. Ultimately, you may want to create original characters and story instead of fanfiction, so I think maintaining a Wattpad account and giving that priority is a better idea.

You could publicise your work here on IF and then post the rest on Wattpad. It’s a good investment of your time and effort because IF will not give you a professional platform anytime soon, but Wattpad may in the future.

Plus, having creative freedom and peace of mind are not small things that can be overlooked.

Ultimately, it’s your call but Wattpad may give you better returns for your investment with IF as a mere publicising platform for your stories.
