Obsession and insecurity

Devi's life is filled with only 1 thing- insecurity

And it is a fact that an insecure person can never love

They only try to control and possess

Even after 25 years...shaurya is still not normal with the absence of his mother..it's hurt him.. angers him..it affects him...if someone is affecting us so much..that means we are not over them...25 years of Devi's care has only been instilling hatred for astha in shaurya..all devi cared was shaurya should hate astha..

All the fakeness...decision to not have a child of their own..all drama..still not sure..who is impotent..whether devi or tej...all to control the household..

And Devi's only survival to hold on to power is through shaurya..as he is the eldest in the 2nd generation..so heir actually...

Shaurya only feels ehsaan..gratitude to them for their kindness to him..hope it doesn't become slavery..

Absolutely correct. Devi's character has more to her than being straight up Vampish..I love those stories where negative character has a back story and motive for what they do. ITV portrays then terribly without any layer or complexities .

Also, I think Devi is the only one responsible because of whom Shaurya is still not over Aastha. You see hatred is also an emotion and that too a very very strong emotion and on contrast to that in his mind only good memories of his mother are etched so at that he feels deprived and he can't logic that hatred.

On Devi's side it would have been better for her if she ignored Astha but since she kept reminding Shaurya of Astha's presence throughout his life, he could never forget.

One trait of insecurity is denial.

She might be doing it for power but will tell herself its love for Shaurya. One of biggest challenge in Anokhi's married life would be taking a stand against her.

Shaurya is clearly indebt to her but I doubt how much does he love her.

Getting a feeling like they are gonna show like IPKKND2 where the MIl of female lead too was tortured and she even became devil in eyes of her own children............

And yahaan toh promo mai uss series ka not show ek song use kiya ja chuka hai......

Even after 25 years devi is still afraid...shaurya may slip from her...

Then it's sure..there is no love...

And devi knows..what she did was absolutely wrong..
