Well every one are slightly started changing but there is a long way to go once and Ridhay yeah of course you will be seeing him this time

The Next Morning:-

"So,"

says Sakshi Shergill enjoying the morning coffee while Ridhay just smiles at her

"You know everything and yet you ask?"

says Ridhay while picking up some biscuits

"Well, I want to know what my son's thoughts are about Vansh Rai Singhania?"

says Sakshi while smirking at him

"I know you are quite impressed with him but worry not he got this project because of his designs not because he was related to Riddhima,"

says Ridhay

"With this project, he might learn what Riddhima is to you?"

says Sakshi

"One day the whole world will know what she is to me, I'm not going to hide her forever thinking about the world, Buji,"

says Ridhay with determination

"I know you won't and neither do I want or expect you to. But yeah you know though if you are sure and confident then..."

says Sakshi but Ridhay cuts in the middle

"I'm Ridhay Singh Randhawa, Buji. Things in the world work the way I want to, not the other way around. I know I will be meeting Vansh today for the first time and he might have met and dealt with several people before me but meeting and dealing with me and others are two different things. Don't you think so?"

asks Ridhay playfully

Hitting him with the newspaper playfully, Sakshi says,

"Arrogance, disrespect...."

Ridhay cuts her in the middle and says,

"Arrogance, disrespect, and demand have a higher price. Kindness, respect, and tact give a better price. I know Buji. This is something you have been teaching me since the day I was born. I know how to deal with Vansh. Trust me, I give you my word, I will be professional with him."

Seeing him giving the word and the determination in his eyes Sakshi gets up and leaves while Ridhay picks the coffee and says,

"Welcome, Vansh Rai Singhania"

and smirks.

Uma walks into Vansh's room while he was checking the files which were needed to be signed by him and Ridhay Randhawa. Uma comes and looks at him. "Just like a seed that needs intensive care to grow into a magnificent tree, a child needs the same amount of love, effort, care, and kindness to grow into a healthy, aware, responsible adult.

A sapling doesn't grow with neglect, thirst, or underfeeding, and neither do children. Fulfilling their various needs will help them grow into fine grown-ups who repay kindness with kindness, and return love with love.

These people think I don't know what happened between him and Riddhima, but I know. I heard Vansh speaking to himself a one-day late at night. "I heard you are going to sign a big project today, congratulations, Anshu,"

says Uma with a smile making Vansh look at her with mixed emotions

"Can you say it again, please?"

says Vansh a vulnerability was there in him.

"Anshu,"

Uma says and pats him on the cheek

Vansh closes his eyes feeling the warmth and looks into his mother's eyes,

"I thought you don't remember you calling me like that,"

says Vansh making Uma smile at him,

"Well, for me things are working slowly but steadily,"

says Uma while looking at him

"I'm sorry, Maa, I thought you left and I thought you betrayed me and then ............"

he gasps while Uma holds his hand and says,

"Vansh, We've all got scars. Words that were said to you when you were young... Things you saw that you should never have seen... Lifelong consequences from stupid decisions, whether ours or someone else's...If you keep finding that you are sensitive about certain things, held back by the same unreasonable fears, or that you keep making the same bad decisions repeatedly, or that you have habits you just can't quit.... chances are good that you have a wound that never healed right. It's not a scar, it's a wound or an infection.

Get it cleaned out and get it healed. If that means you need to get some professional help, to talk to a trusted friend about it, or whatever - the only person that can decide to get that part of your life healed is you. A scar shows you've been through the process. An overly sensitive attitude, a destructive habit, a fearful mindset just shows that you have a wound you need to work on."

"I know what you want to say, Maa. You want me to heal myself from the scars or wounds which I got from this world after you left my life. But Maa you don't know what person I became and have no idea whom I have hurt due to which...."

Vansh says leaving his words incomplete though Uma did not need to she understood her son's unspoken words as much as his spoken words while tears flowed from his eyes

"We emerge into the light not by denying our pain, but by walking through it, Anshu,"

says Uma while wiping his tears

Vansh smiles looking at her and says,

"I may deserve your disappointment as well as a lecture and strict discipline, but what I need is your understanding, your guidance, and your unconditional love, Maa. I promise you till I receive them from you, I'm not going to get astray again."

Uma smiles while Vansh gets up and kisses her on the forehead and takes her blessings and leaves the room.

While Vansh was heading downstairs he sees Aryan tense and asks,

"Is everything fine, Aryan? Do you need my help with anything?"

Aryan knows the fact that Vansh is keeping tabs on everyone in the house so he does know that he is trying his foot in the music industry to become a rockstar but yes he doesn't want to take his help. He wants to emerge on his own but not as his brother; Aryan looks at Vansh and says,

"No, bhai. I'm fine and I will handle"

"If you need anything and need someone to talk to, I'm here, Aryan,"

Vansh says and moves away when he heard Aryan asking him,

"Why?”.

Aryan asks him tiredly

“What has changed?”

Vansh sighs and says,

“I'm your brother, Aryan. And I love you. Also being my brother you have made your share of mistakes which I'm ready to deny or unheard because I made a lot of my own. Aryan we might not have been on a good foot for a good part of our lives, but we can try to make this remaining journey beautiful enough and get through the hurdles if we face any"

says Vansh while patting his hand on Aryan's shoulder, Vansh leaves to join Rudra and Angre in the car.

While Vansh was moving towards his car he saw Ishani in a drunken state, ignoring her, he starts moving ahead of her towards the car. It was when she was about to fall he catches her and makes her sit. Ishani was looking at him with longing in her eyes while he picks a glass of water and gives her to drink. Vansh gets up to leave but Ishani stops him.

“Why did you?”

Ishani asked.

“Why did I what?”

asks Vansh

“Help me back there,"

says Ishani

“You’re my sister"

replies Vansh

She swallowed. In the morning light, she could see his face after four long months.

“You never cared that I was your sister before,"

says Ishani overwhelmed

“Did I not?”

His black eyes flicked up and down her.

“Our father’s death and mother we thought she was dead,”

Vansh said.

“We have a family and yet they were not caring towards us. We had Sia to take care of too. I'd have done, I'll do almost anything for you,"

Vansh said quietly.

"I could die for you. You know that. But would I kill someone else someone innocent and that too without feeling regret about it? Torture someone to such an extent that he doesn't care for himself and allows himself to be tired up with work so he can sleep peacefully but then that person's dreams are haunted by verbal violence. Is that - I don't know, is that a human sort of love at all? Is that even love at all?"

asks Vansh while Uma looks at both of them and Dadi who comes running to stop their verbal fight gets stopped as Uma indicates not to interfere.

"But, Uma,"

says Dadi while Uma replies,

"These two need to talk, Maa"

Vansh sighs,

"I don't have time for this right now Ishani, but being your brother if you need me I'm here but then again until you start mending your ways, even I cannot help you"

saying so Vansh leaves from there joining Rudra and Angre in the car where he could see Angre was hurt with the scene Ishani created.

Rudra could sense the tension between Vansh and Angre due to Ishani so to reduce the unease in the air he asks Angre,

"Did you checked all the information once again, Angre? Like who is Ridhay Singh Randhawa and all? Yes, we know who is he, but then it's better we know a little more about him right?"

"Yes, Chachu. I did cross-check. Must say Ridhay Singh Randhawa is a powerful man. A man who doesn't care about the power he carries. Some say he knows what his enemies and friends are doing. He is such a person who doesn't ask a question unless he knows the answer. He doesn't bet on anything unless he knows he can win. Ridhay Singh Randhwa is a man who is precise with his dealings and knows what he wants and how to get it. Thought out. Prepared"

says Angre making Vansh raise his eyebrows and causing curiosity to know more about Ridhay.

"Anything about his family?"

asks Vansh

"Well, Boss as you already know Sakshi Shergill Randhawa is his aunty and you know about his Dadu and Dadi, Mr Virendra Singh Randhawa and Mrs Savitri Devi Randhawa. So apart from that, there is not much about their family also.

But yes it is said that at one point in time they lost everything but it was Sakshi Randhawa Shergill along with her father Mr Virendra Randhawa who has rebuilt the empire and Ridhay was 14 years of age when he started to acquire the business knowledge and now he is ruling it. People call him a King who carries an invisible crown on his head and he is invincible"

Angre concluded while Vansh got lost in his thoughts of Ridhay "Why do I feel something off about this guy? What is this feeling of not liking him, when we haven't even met?"

"Vansh, Vansh"

Rudra calls out

"Huh, yes Chachu"

replies Vansh

"We reached, where are you lost?"

asks Chachu

"Nothing,"

he says and he sets his eyes on the R&S Mansion and whispers

"Randhawa & Shergil Mansion"

They enter after their car has been thoroughly checked by the security Rudra and Angre were awed by the grandeur of the mansion.

"I never knew in Mumbai such lake Mansion exists too,"

says Rudra while Angre says,

"I heard they made this, but the speciality of this lake is the water joins the ocean from the drainage pipes, and whatever the water they receive is also from the oceans. They said Ridhay has bought the Arabian sea to built this lake for them, but we all know one can not buy an ocean no matter how rich they are so it's just a rumour"

chuckles Angre but Vansh cuts him in the middle.

"No, Angre. It's true. I won't say he bought the sea but yes he had made such a deal with the ocean department that seawater will flow through the lake which is situated in his house"

says Vansh making both Angre and Chachu go in awe of the authority this Ridhay holds.

It was when they were taking the turns they saw horses running through the gardens, seeing them running so freely Vansh opens his windows to enjoy the fresh breeze while Rudra and Angre smiled seeing him relaxing after ages. "Why do I feel so relaxed with every step I take towards this house? As if my heart knows this place is what it wanted right now, very badly?" thinks Vansh embracing the breeze and sound from the water which is made by the horses

"Do they have a passion for horse riding?"

asks Rudra

"Yes, Chachu. I heard Ridhay loves horse riding and sword fight a lot it seems. Some say they are royals who lost everything and build a new empire and some people say whatever they built was destroyed by some person who killed some of the people in their family; as earlier said it is Sakshi Shergill and Mr Virendra has rebuilt this empire"

says Angre while Vansh listened to every point duly taking note of it.

Then with another final turn, they reached the final destination and came out of the car and stood before a majestic house of the Ridhay Singh Randhawa.

"Lovely architecture,"

Rudra said while Angre nods in agreement. They see few bodyguards coming towards them and the first one asks,

"Mr Rai Singhania, we knew you were coming. However, we need to check you. It's protocol."

Though Angre wanted to interfere Vansh stops him with his hand and says,

"I understand. I'm in."

After thorough checking, the bodyguard says,

"Mr Rai Singhania, you can enter the premises. Badri, the helper of the house will walk you inside"

while Vansh looked on confused at the bodyguard as he gave him his gun back. However, he nods and followed Badri along with Rudra and Angre.

It's not that they have never seen mansions however this house is filled with warmth along with its luxury there was a certain homey feel to it and somehow all the three men can feel it. They were walking through a corridor to get into the room while Vansh was observing each and everything. The feeling he had been having since the moment he arrived was making him confused and at the same time somewhat nervous and agitated.

"Mr Rai Singhania, you can have a seat. Baba will come to meet you at sharp 10 AM"

informing Badri leaves while Vansh was surprised to see the helper referring to Ridhay as Baba. Whatever Vansh had learned about Ridhay Singh Randhawa till now he had formed a certain image about him as an aloof, proud, and arrogant man who knows what he is doing but with the way, a mere helper had addressed him as Baba it made him think the man has more to him than he lets on the world to see.

It wasn't like he hadn't seen any of the houses where helpers share personal equation with the family Mrs D'Souza was one such person who used to refer to him as the same.

Thinking about which he got reminded of the lady who had been there for him since he was a child and somehow he repaid her by being ignorant to her death and actually believing the sh*t that wrenched woman Anupriya presented to them. Regrets, so many regrets.

"It's nice. Isn't it Chachu? I mean in the garden with full of fresh air yet covering the roof with the glass, must say whoever designed this whole house is a well-versed designer "

says Angre while they hear a voice saying,

"Thank you Mr Angre for the compliments"

which makes all the men look back and they saw Sakshi Randhawa Shergill walking towards them.

"How are you, Mr Rai Singhania? It has been a while since we met last"

says Sakshi with a dazzling smile on her face

"We are good, how are you, ma'am?"

asks Vansh making Rudra and Angre shocked as they have never seen Vansh calling someone ma'am except for protocols with the designated personalities while this was something else, they could see it in Vansh.

The man was somewhat intimidated and respect was there for the lady. It wasn't like they, Angre and Rudra were not feeling the charisma of the woman but it was something they have experienced before with other people while Vansh used to have the same effect on them rather than being affected by the other person.

"Please take a seat and no formalities, please. Call me Mrs Shergill"

says Sakshi

"Sure"

replies Vansh

"Well, I have personally seen your proposal for the project and I must say I'm impressed this time. So what made you come up with such a concept?"

asks Sakshi

“We can go far away, to nowhere, to conquer, to fertilize until we become tired. Then when we stop we look for a place where we could rest and find peace, be at ease that place is our home. I want all your employees to feel the same way - they are back home"

says Vansh while Sakshi smiles earnestly

"The man I saw five months before was quite confident but the man I am seeing now, here in front of me is confident and knows what others want along with what he needs to be achieved. I'm impressed again and it's not an easy job to impress me"

says Sakshi while smiling

"But through your words, I feel you lost something precious, Mr Vansh Rai Singhania,"

says the man whom everyone has been waiting for. Vansh felt as if he has heard this voice before but where he was unable to pinpoint exactly so he gets up and sees who this voice belonged to and Ridhay Singh Randhawa was standing in the glory of the sunlight

Ridhay walked towards them grabbing the attention of all the men. Vansh wanted to question him but Ridhay beats him to it,

"File, please"

Vansh was astounded to see the man commanding him yet he controlled himself and forwarded his hand with

"I'm...."

but Ridhay cuts him down in the middle

"I know who you are Mr Rai Singhania. Do you think I would allow an unknown stranger to sit in my house without my permission just like that?"

Ridhay commented while Vansh's anger was bubbling up. "No one has humiliated him like that until now," thinks Vansh

"Ridhay,"

says Sakshi but he says,

"Buji, please"

"Now, Mr Rai Singhania. Only one question - why do I feel you lost something precious then you came up with this plan. Don't tell me you didn't because your words just now tell me another story. The moment I saw the plan I have felt the warmth that I feel in my house and this house is built by our emotions not just bricks and cement. That's one of the reasons I approved it. So now, answer me"

says Ridhay while Vansh asks,

"Why are you so interested and want to know my answer? How and why is it so important to you?"

"Vansh,"

says Rudra but the former stops him with his hand while seeing his attitude Ridhay smiles thinks "still the same authority on family, ah"

"Well, that says whether I can entrust you with this project or not? Liking the plan is entirely different from knowing one implementing it. I like to know the people I am going to work with and associate with. You know if they are trustworthy or not."

says Ridhay while taking a seat and offering him the one with his hand.

“And you want me to believe you already don't know more than you are letting on to me?"

Vansh said rather than asked with a tilt of his brow and a chuckle making Ridhay mimick the expression on Vansh's face at the man's percipience.

"Nobody talks about the once own loss, the loss that happens within us. We lose people and things, but we also lose parts of ourselves. We grieve those missing parts too. We grieve them, and we grieve us. But I think losing those parts creates space. For newness. For understanding others’ hurts and welcoming them into our free spaces. From those free spaces, I have come up with this concept"

Vansh continued with confidence and meeting his eyes with Ridhay while the latter smiles and thinks "smart man"

"Done deal?"

says Ridhay and he immediately signs the paper and handover the file to Vansh confusing him more. "I'm myself a puzzle and this man is too complicated," thinks Vansh but as if he read his mind,

"I AM THAT complicated, mysterious, yet content with the "simple" things in life. Don't try to understand me; you won't figure me out. But you're free to like me or dislike me the way I am, though I suggest better like since we have to work together"

says Ridhay while winking at Vansh I anyway don't like you much. It would be quite a task to work together when we both will share mutual feelings of dislike for each other Ridhay thought standing up and turning around and leaves the room with a smirk on his face.

Yet he turns back and sees Vansh looking at him,

"Vansh, let's meet at the launch party of this project after three years, and until then, do miss me"

says Ridhay and leaves the room with a deadly smirk and Sakshi now understood what her son is playing at "He is confusing Vansh with such personality which he hardly shows before anyone so that he stays away and don't try to dig in much and even if Vansh tries to know, Ridhay will make sure he gets nothing" thinks Sakshi while eyeing Vansh who stood completely clueless with one question running in his mind, "What just happened? Did someone else stole the show?"

Okay, with this we end Phase I of our story Broken and with the next update, we would be entering into Phase II.
