Hello friends

Here we go......

Shaan looked at Aastha, as old memories began flashing in front of his mind. How much he missed her all these years.

" Aastha a lot has changed in all these years. " He said softly.

" I know Shaan. I know. Is he alright? He is......" Astha's eyes welled up with tears.

" I know you missed him. " Shaan replied.

" He has changed so much. " Aastha said.

" And you know the reason. " Shaan replied knowingly.

" I just want his happiness. The mother in me could suffer unless her son is happy. "

" Do you think he is?"

" It was not only my fault. Yours too. "

" I tried. ...... but I was not strong enough to go against my bhaishab and bhabhi. I was already nursing a broken heart and didn't know when he became so distant from me. I didn't had my strength with me. She was gone. "

" That girl...... Anokhi she seems a sweet person. I met her in the temple. I just wish she brings a lot of happiness in our son's life. " Aastha prayed.

" But our son has to try for that. " Shaan said " but I know my daughter in law, she will break all the walls he built around himself. "

Anokhi sighed and tried again to reach the book on the upper self of the almirah.....

" Uffo, why I am this short?" She asked herself.

Suddenly her foot slipped and she fell off the ladder.

" Aaahhhhh. " She shouted and waited for the fall, but thanks to almighty that never came. Someone caught her in time. She encircled her hands around the person's neck and hid her face on the crook of his neck.

" Anokhi , are you alright?" Shaurya asked softly.

Anokhi slightly moved and looked down at the floor " thank you. Ab aap mujhe utaar sakte ho. "

Shaurya put her down and cleared his throat " what do you think you were doing? Tum gir sakti thi. You could've hurt yourself. You are not a kid, learn to support yourself. "

" I was just.....I am sorry. I won't cause you any trouble again. " Anokhi said and ran out of the room.

Shaurya looked at her retreating form and shook his head in confusion. He just can't understand this girl.

" How could one be this careless?"

" Uffo nikki you are an idiot. Great, you embarrassed yourself in front of that Hitler Sabharwal. Ab pata nahi kya sochenge mere baare mein. " Anokhi scolded herself.

" About whom you are talking?. " Arjun asked coming besides her.

" No nothing.... it's nothing. "

" Hmmm. " Arjun smirked " anyways , I just want to remind you about the literature festival we have to attend on Saturday. Be ready on time. "

" Yes, I know. I talked to badi ma about it and she agreed. " Anokhi replied.

" Yaaay. I am very very excited about it. " Saying so Arjun began jumping " I am going to meet my favourite authors and poets. "

Anokhi laughed merrily seeing his childishness.

Shaurya entered the dining room and rolled his eyes at the kiddish behaviour of Arjun and Anokhi. For God's sake they were grown ups not five years old kids.

" Arjun I thought you are here for your studies and research , but looks like you are once again wasting your time with all those idiotic ideas. " Shaurya scolded him.

" My dearest bhai, first of all I am not wasting my time. I am doing my research and side by side continuing writing poetry which is my passion. Please don't worry. Aur vaise bhi bhai main banjara hoon. Mera koi ghar ya thikana nahi, jahan ye hawa le jaye waha chala jata hoon. "

" Correct. When you has the whole sky to fly away, then why sit in a cage. " Anokhi said.

Shaurya looked at her and once again that old guilt overpowered his thoughts.

" Oh God why am I wasting time here. I have some work. " Anokhi said and ran from there.

" Bhai is everything alright with you?" Arjun asked slowly. " I know it's not. I know you in and out, something is bothering you. "

" It's nothing like that. " Shaurya defended himself.

" Bhai you are too uptight about everything. This can't be formulated with relationships , they need to be rigid yet flexible. Don't think less of yourself. You deserve the world. " Arjun said " and ofcourse Anokhi is well......you are very lucky to have her. "

Saying so Arjun walked away leaving a disturbed Shaurya behind.

At night Shaurya entered the room and saw his wife deeply immersed in a book.

He saw how her cute expressions keep changing and smiled faintly.

" How selfish? That's not love . " Anokhi said to herself.

" What is not love?" Shaurya asked loudly making her jump in surprise.

" You. When did you come? I didn't realise you are here. " Anokhi said.

" Maybe you were too busy. " Shaurya smirked sitting beside her on the couch.

" Oh....I .... this jug is empty. Main bhar kar laati hoon. " Anokhi excused herself and started to walk when she slipped and fell on top of Shaurya.

Shaurya felt his heart stop, never ever he felt like this. This girl seems to invoke a lot of feelings in him. He must be a very bad person to feel this way and that too for a young girl like her. But this girl is his wife.

" I am sorry. " Anokhi apologised getting up and started walking away.

" Why are you always so formal with me? " Shaurya asked her.

" You should ask this question to yourself. "

" Do I repel you this much?"

" No Mr Sabharwal it's not like that. It's just...... You always remind me this is all a illusion. We are a couple in front of the world, but in reality we are not. We don't even know each other and it's better this way. Only a little time is left , after that you will be on your way and I will be mine. " Anokhi said and walked out.

Shaurya sighed and walked towards the window, he doesn't agree with her. But can't deny her either. She is correct. He is a very bad person to feel this way , this girl is pure hearted and very young. She deserves to fly instead of being caged in his world. He was wrong to feel jealous. He don't have any right for that.
