I think Mama Sarkar aur Prakashi ka age gap discuss naa karna is quite normal in rural setting. It's difficult to accept but in a majority part of India, this age-gap marriage is a normal thing. Waise Prakashi ki bhi toh age-gap marriage rahi hogi. In fact, she is not much older than Virendra, 10 years at most I think. It's not that uncommon in rural setting. But college mein charcha ho sakti thhi, uske classmates mazak udaa sakte thhe, which was not shown.

And sorry for deviating here, but since it's relevant, quoting from another show, Kyun Uthhe Dil Chhod Aaye, "Humare samaj mein ladki ki umar aur gunn dekhe jaate hai byah ke liye, par ladke ka rutwa aur khaandaan", this was the reply one of the female leads got when she complained how her Chachiji is so much younger than her Chahaji.
