The Gift Fallout

Some good scenes today also showing the aftermath of this gift fallout......at the very least, we got 2 minutes of Adi stewing over not getting credit for his gift to Imlie😆.

The first Adi-Imlie scene was very nicely written and enacted.....Adi seems to be equal parts obtuse and equal parts defensive.....lol he unloaded on Imlie totally irate that she gave the credit for his gift to someone else.....accusing her of bringing his "neeyat" into question when otherwise it was a harmless thing to do😆....ROFL this man.....achha sample hai for the men are from mars, women are from venus exhibit😆.

I loved how Imlie candidly gave him perspective....she told him she understands his concern for her and she would have happily accepted and credited the gift to him any other day but this V-day has changed the connotation and HIS intentions as well as HERS will be misunderstood if people find out he gifted this to her.

The best part of the scene was a return of that serene/wise Imlie who calmly told him that he doesn't understand a woman's heart since he is a man😆.....and she understands how Malini will perceive this if she finds out. LOL Adi mutinously continued to disagree and claimed that Malini would have never misunderstood him over this if they had just revealed at that moment that the gift was from him😆......achha hai beta, raho delusion mein.

Also worth noting the HAQ with which Adi was questioning Imlie in this scene....lol jitna marzi deny kar le, inka miyaan-biwi wala dynamic dikh jaata hai kai baar....ek haq hai sawaaal puchhne mein bhi aur samjhaane mein bhi.

Rupi's pangs of loneliness seem to come and go randomly in general.....lol but today, her suicide attempt scenes with Imlie were very good.....once again, this "bacchi" who acts like a mad hatter all day was the one acting like the adult sambhaaloing Rupi who is notably older than her. This scene was very notable for giving us Imlie's perspective on herself after many days.....otherwise for the most part we are just shown that she is "existing" in the Tripathi house without any thought for herself.....but for once, we got a scene which showed that Imlie is not one of those people who would die in self-pity all their lives over not getting love. The way she declared that if THIS is what love is, she wants no part of it....she has enough love for herself to live her life.....nice to see this thought being put out there by the makers👏. Yes, logically she should be following up on this thought by pursuing her education but let's leave that for another day for now😆

Lots of interesting dialogues from Imlie in that scene.....the way she talked ruefully about the fact that she doesn't understand how God can give her a right and then another man can come and take it away....she doesn't understand how her marzi, her choice was taken away......but what she does understand is that if someone doesn't want to love her, that's fine....she will love herself enough to remind herself that there are many reasons for her to live in this world.

If they ever follow up on this line of thought from Imlie, would make for an interesting turn of events if/when she realizes she's falling for Adi.....tab dekhte hain kaise maarenge kohni pyar ki peeth mein😆....but I liked this Imlie today....this whole BHAAD mein jaaye woh aadmi jo mujhse pyar nahin kar sakta.....good good, kabhi Adi ko bhi yeh attitude mile toh mazaa aayega😆

LOL the receipt thing turned out to be such a fail....once again misleading promo....Malini ne toh koi bomb bhi nahin phoda....bas Sundar se hi puchh liya about the receipt and he covered it up before it even got to Adi or the family.....lol.....I guess she will ask Adi about it in the precap but by then he will guilt trip again ki Imlie ne mujhe "jhoota" bana diya....yeh bhool jaayega ki khud bhi Malini ko bataaye bina liya suit.

Nishant ka illness seems like it will be hard to hide now....but let's see.

Sundar ke antenna khade ho gaye hain about Imlie's secret....but I wonder if isko bhi Imlie ghumaa legi for now.....lol

For a suljha huva well read man who is well versed with worldly ways, it is amazing how he just assumed Imlie would walk into a place filled with heart shaped balloons and couples and proudly declare that she is wearing a red dress that he bought for her. However mundane his reasoning behind buying it. I mean, if he were her brother, sure.

The guilt trip he will go on tomorrow about failing Malini again is going to be annoying. Considering they are talking in their bedroom, looks like Nishant has managed to spin some story on his condition maybe leaving the window open for Imlie to find out first.

Imlie’s perspective on her life was refreshing to hear though. Had they not dwelled on Rupali’s circumstance on Valentine’s Day I would have been surprised. Glad they went through her emotions albeit a bit extreme.

Great review! Yes the episode was good on many levels. Malini ke doubts shuru ho gaye even though sundar managed to save imlie with another lie. Babusaheb is delusional if he thinks malini will not have misunderstood him if he said that he bought the gift for imlie. Precap se lagta hai malini wohi sach bolne wali hai and bs will get the jhatka of his life. Nishants illness i dont know what the purpose of this track is. Looks like sundar is gonna be imlies partner in crime.

Guilt feeling k bajaye bande me gratitude aajaye Imlie k selfless idea k prati to kitna acha hojaye :/ Ajeeb banda hai,denial ki dukaan!

LOL sometimes a person can be too straightforward for their own good. Adi is worldly about many other things except the actual emotional intimacy of a man-woman relationship I feel.....probably cuz he's one of those typical guys who doesn't understand how a woman's mind works, especially in matters relating to gifts. 😆

I was just finding his defensive projection hilarious.....he clearly was pissed about not getting credit for his gift and USKE gift par kisi AUR ka naam lagaa dena😆....but he twisted the whole thing into making Imlie the cause of his "neeyat" being questioned about this gift😆

Thanks! I hope Sundar does end up helping Imlie in the long run even if he's sniffing around about her secret right now.....she needs one light bond in that house atleast.

Babusahib redefines delusional everyday....lage rahein😆....I'm sure he will manage to twist the issue into blaming Imlie even after Malini shows that she did suspect him after seeing the receipt😆

rewatching and be back, watched in a hurry.

The 2nd time around was able to appreciate the nuances and the lines of the characters. Such a stark difference in Imli's outlook and Rupi's lack of her husband in her life, shedding tears for a man, for unrequited love. The green head of jealousy overtaking Malini and treating Sundar like her mother while questioning him about the receipt, to Aditya getting upset with Imli over her declaration that his GIFT was from kallander, how dare she lie about his thoughtful gift. 😆😆 She spoiled his mood but that did not last very long, he was happy enough to put on an act with wifey no.2. Was it just me or it looked very fake, the dance and the gestures, seemed forced from Aditya. Asking her if her foot was ok when the chappal broke... LOL..🤣

Imli had anticipated Aditya would come after her and question her, so she was prepared and logically tried to explain, but her saheb was in a mood to listen at all. Just took off on her, at least his voice was toned down and not at the usual daant wala gussa. This was more a colder way of dealing with his disappointment. As Imli rightly said, Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus, can never understand a woman at times. Adi cannot seem to understand both the women in his life currently.

The cheesy dance was something else entirely.... 🤣 sure enough Imli had enough of seeing AdiMoon mooning over each other and spotted Rupi standing forlornly by the side.

The scene between Imli and Rupi was unexpected, how the little slip of a girl, was able to handle the situation, despite what she has been dished out. her spirit, her strength, her faith is all her mother Mithi's upbringing and Dadda's support, who have instilled a strong sense of self worth in her, in hard work, not to steal or beg, fight for one's right in the proper manner. I was reminded so much of Mithi who brought up Imli despite her lover abandoning her.

It was again a contrast of Rupi and Imli, both their husbands do not 'Love' them or care for them, each has different ways of dealing with life. I hope the makers show this Imli and not forgot down the line. 😆

We had Nishant falling down and ofc Imli may grab the box of medicines or maybe the first to know of his illness. Malini seeming insecure all of a sudden, her hidden flaws being exposed more and more, the expectations from Aditya, more romantic gestures, is going to make BS more angry or grovel from guilt, he only swings between the 2 with no asli rishta.

Imli will handle Sundar in her own way on the receipt matter and BS's mood off on V day 🤣

Completely! And he went around telling her he would have felt bad if ANYONE had done it. I liked the tone though. He did go about questioning his nakli biwi with such haq but not screaming and yelling. The neeyat part was uncalled for.

I absolutly loved Imlie in the episode from.stsrt to end.. Thank Heavens for getting some insight in her thought process and her intelligence beyond her years

I loved the first scene so much.. adi is such a dafood I can't 😆 Imlie ke itna spell out karne ke baad bhi he was like what big deal just a gift.. buddy theek hai just a gift and as imlie said he does have humdardi and she understands that but yeh bhi toh dekho and socho ke gift laaye kya ho that too on valentines day a bright red shalwar suit when everyone is in super cheesy valentines mood obviously koi mazaak main bhi comment maar dega ispe toh iska jo result hoga woh bohat Ganda niklega and will reflect badly upon both of you.. she just saved your ass did not put a question on your neeyat.. she knows from where you are coming from it's not like she doubted your neeyat even if it did chubha ke kisi ke liye bhi le aate but she covered it up well.. she was bang on that sir you really don't get how sensitive it would've been for malini as a woman. Amazing that this girl doesn't even have the full understanding of valentines as such yet she grasped it so quickly. Adi ko phir bhi kuch zyada samjh nahi lagi😆 he was still ab ek aur jhoot daal di mere sar pe.. from his pov too I kinda get his point ke kya ho jaata bol dete hum laaye nobody would've said anything agar sach bol dete but adi that would've been another day not on valentines ghar wale bhi awkward ho jaate. He was genuinly upset ke usko credit nahi dia 😐

Rupi did ki extremity aside it was worth it for imlie giving her perspective too that just caz 1 I love you and gulab nahi mila she is willing to suicide.. life has so much more to offer. I loved hearing that kisi ko kisi ka mohtaj nshi ho jaaana chahiye . Life gives you enough to celebrate if it takes something away.. imlie ka dard was so apparent throughout that and whi better than her to understand rupi's loneliness and pain but the difference is the mental strength the emotional endurance one have to have thick skin warna itni choti si baat pe life dena toh stupidity hi hai.. imlie was so bang on ke apne pe vishwaas rakho apne liye khushiyan dhundo and you won't be upset apni self respect intact rakho and live for yourself is enough to live with yoir head held high

Rest I am pretty sure nishant will come up with a cover or if not only imlie will find the truth or adi and hides from.rest he does look unsettled in the precap when Malini came I think kaafi kuch usse ek dum hila dia.. who know it might be adi assigning imlie the nish duty.. but whatever on adi imlie and Imlie front it was so satisfying to watch

Sundar bechara also got hints and I liked the bluntness in the way he confronted imlie too but yes imlie ghuma legi isse
