I’ll post a brief outline of both the books and then we can have a vote. Please choose one of the two so we can have that as March’s BOTM.

Synopsis of the1st book:

Princess R is siren royalty and the most lethal of them all. With the hearts of seventeen princes in her collection, she is revered across the sea. Until a twist of fate forces her to kill one of her own. To punish her daughter, the Queen transforms her into the one thing they loathe most—a human. Robbed of her song, the Princess has until the winter solstice to deliver Prince E’s heart to the Queen or remain a human forever.

The ocean is the only place Prince E calls home, even though he is heir to the most powerful kingdom in the world. When he rescues a drowning woman in the ocean, she’s more than what she appears. She promises to help him—But can he trust her?

Synopsis of the 2nd book:

R and L started out as college roommates—brilliant, arrogant, lonely boys who recognized the same sharpness and ambition in each other. In their senior year, a shared research interest in adrenaline, near-death experiences, and seemingly supernatural events reveals an intriguing possibility: that under the right conditions, someone could develop extraordinary abilities. But when their thesis moves from the academic to the experimental, things go horribly wrong.

Ten years later, R breaks out of prison, determined to catch up to his old friend (now foe), aided by a young girl. Meanwhile, L is on a mission to eradicate every other super-powered person that he can find—aside from his sidekick. Armed with terrible power on both sides, driven by the memory of betrayal and loss, the archnemeses have set a course for revenge—but who will be left alive at the end?

Are you girls still on board for a reading marathon in April or May, or will it be difficult?

I was a planning on having a readathon for 10 days where we read any 3 books out of a list of 6-7 books of different genres. The books will all be well within 350 pages.

@Hinna: The Midnight Library is one of the most likely contenders on the list of books of the reading marathon.

I think April is fine. But I may be going Pakistan during that time so I am not sure.

I am planning to read the midnight library as soon as I am done with Maybe series

@Diya: You also choose from one of the books, even though you know the two shortlisted books.

Since the reading marathon is seeming difficult to manage for you girls, let’s not have a marathon but the whole month to read any 3 books from a list of 6 books of different genres. That way we can have a month of reading at least 3 different genres.

@bold: The second one!

@italics: That sounds good. I'd also be available for a week long marathon if we do it end of June. I usually give myself a week's break during summer holidays, so I'd be free then.😊
