Even Sai invited her professor

It's not just Dr. Pulkit Deshpande, Sai too invited her professor to their house and she told the family regarding it. She didn't hide anything. Isn't it clear from that?? If she had any wrong intentions why would she do that? And it's not even a secret meeting.

Dr. Pulkit too accepted her invitation. If he isn't a trustworthy person why would she invite him and why would he accept her invitation??

Virat and his family should have at least this much common sense. May be it's too much to expect such a thing from them!

There is a possibility that Pulkit can accept the invite and can take advantage of Sai when she is invited to his home . How come accepting invite means his intentions are not questionable .

Virat has seen her trusting a complete stranger when she was lost during college admission and have seen her fall into Jagtap’s trap and got kidnapped so he has reasons not to trust her judgment. Did Virat stop her when she said he is going out and will be back by evening. Did he stop her when she said she is going to her professor home but he only stopped her when she said she was the only one invited .

I agree with you. Dr. Pulkit should have invited both Sai and Virat knowing that she's married. But he specifically wanted some information regarding Devyani hence had to leave behind her husband. Sai too couldn't reveal to the family the exact reason why she wanted to visit the professor in his house. But the entire family was focused on taunting and giving her orders......'who invites professor to the house, we never did that, tum apna zidd choddogi, tum kahi nahi jaogi, etc. etc. instead of explaining her why they are not finding it appropriate?

Would Sai accept to stay back if Virat explained to her all that... No. Just like how Virat wouldn't let her go to the Professor's house even if she clearly tells him the reason why she wanted to go. 😆

virat, on the other hand, should have handled the situation 'maturely' like he always mentions. (tareeke i mentioned in other topic, like making good use of her mobile-phone and some needed suggestions that would make her also feel that he is concerned for her) instead of comparing her to mujrims and bewajaa zid ko thodna and haath marodna incase they show it in hindi version and all of that is completely wrong.

Sai is like that since begining. She ran out at midnight hearing about her Aba’s accident. She tried to do the same in Pari issue. She is impulsive at times and it is her charecter trait. Director established that properly.

Virat’s charecter trait is to ignore and avoid till the water runs over head. His weakness is Pakhi. He can live without oxygen but he can not keep himself away from Pakhi ,that is his charecter trait. Well established.

I have 2 daughters. One is a young adult, the other a teen. Both just around Sai’s age and with much more big city exposure than Gadchirolichi mulgi. If one of them said she has been invited by her male teacher/professor whom she has known for a few weeks, for lunch alone in his house, & further refuses to divulge his name, like hell I will allow her to go. I will very likely say “taange tod doongi” a la Kaku 😜

Pls set aside your biases & knowledge of Sai’s character and think... with all the stalking & MMS and drugging and other crimes against women, it is ridiculous to expect that any man who cares for u even as a friend will allow u to go. We as viewers know Dr Pulkit is Devi’s man, but how can Sai be sure, from what little she knows, that he is not a stalker or molester?

Secondly, how many of u socialise with your teachers & professors? Isn’t it highly irregular for a professor to invite just one student (gender apart) to his home for lunch? That too, on a few weeks’ acquaintance. How many of u will say “jaa simran jee le apni lunch” if your daughter/ sister / bestie got such an invite?

Thirdly, however wicked Chavan Niwasis may be, it is now a roof over Sai’s head, a home for her, not a hotel. There are people there who feed her, take care of her comforts & expenses & care for her. She cannot treat ot like a hotel, coming & going as she pleases without being answerable to anyone. When we live in a home & with a family, we have to respect the norms of keeping folks informed. It is extremely impertinent not to do so. Her problem is, as long as she knows in her mind that she is well intentioned, she doesnt see a need to observe these norms. But societies & families dont work like that. It is the unwritten rules & norms of behaviour that keep these institutions going.

All this said, Virat is well within reason to question Sai, stop her, scold her & even give her the silent treatment on her return. But not not not to deny her food. That is tantamount to physical abuse.

I really don't care about the rest of the Makad gang, but Virat's anger is justified. I think whatever Virat did to stop Sai stems from a point of concern more than ego satisfaction or jealousy. Anyone would feel concerned if a student is invited to a professor's house for lunch, that too alone, on a holiday. Even I found it quite absurd. So, Virat was justified in stopping her. I definitely don't support the khana nahi milega moment in the precap, but today, I felt Sai was just being adamant for the heck of it.

Unfortunately for Sai there occur situations where she is forced to give reason for her refusal to inform the particulars like it happened

When she visited DIG..she can not reveal because the issue is serious and need to be tackled with care.

Sai always informed Aswini when she leaves for college. She never treated the house like a hotel even if she is insulted,humiliated and criticised at the drop of a hat.

Sai could have lied about the purpose of her outing but she is too habituated to blurt out the truth and I understand..for people who never get used to tell lies ...it becomes so hard even to do it in need.

Having said that I know Virat’s concern is genuine as he knows Sai since Gadchiroli days and watched her fall into risk quite often.
