Never ever in her life Aastha thought that she would come back here. Chandigarh was once her home, but now after all these years this place looks so strange. There was a time when she used to wander around the city with.... Shaan. But now there is nothing to see here. Everything about this place give her immense pain. It's been so many years and she don't even know how her family is. Or was. Ofcourse they don't consider her as theirs anymore.
Praying for her son's safety she started walking out of the temple when her she bumped into someone and was about to fall when the other person caught her in time.
" I am so sorry. I was not paying attention. Are you alright?" Anokhi asked worriedly.
Aastha looked at her with a stunned expression. How could she not recognise this girl. She is the one her son is married to. Too many emotions were bubbling inside her, that she felt she might explode.
" I....I..." She started.
" Anokhi. " Shaurya shouted glaring at his namesake....so called mother. Never ever he thought about seeing her again. But here she is. Ofcourse to mess up his life.
He started walking towards a confused Anokhi and grabbed her upper arm tightly.
" Let's go. " He said barely able to control his rage.
" But.... what... Mr Sabharwal..." Anokhi asked , totally confused by his anger.
" I said let's go. Mandir mein chalo. It's getting late for veneration. " He snapped at her angrily.
Anokhi sighed and decided not to argue as people were looking at them. She started walking towards the priest for the veneration.
Aastha looked at her son and couldn't believe that he is her little Shaurya. Ofcourse not so little anymore. He has grown into a handsome, successful man. He is no more her innocent baby. But how much hatred he has for her?
" Looks like Devi bhabhi has done everything she could to turn him against him. She has poisoned his mind to this extent. " She said to herself.
After the veneration, Shaurya again grabbed Anokhi's hand and hastily walked out of the temple.
" Mr Sabharwal please tell me what happened? Why are you behaving like this?" Anokhi asked.
" I don't have any explanation. Please, don't ask me any questions and quietly sit inside the car. " Saying so he locked car's door and started walking towards Aastha, who was staring at them from a safe distance.
" Stay away from me and my family, otherwise I will take strict action against you. " Shaurya warned her.
" Shaurya atleast listen to me. I ..."
" There is nothing to listen. I am saying this for the last time. Stay away from my family and don't you dare to meet Anokhi ever again. " He said loudly.
" Shaurya I am not here to hurt you. I just wanted to meet my son for....."
" I am not your son. I am no one to you. Stay away. " He shouted.
" Shaurya badtameez mat bano. " Aastha said sternly.
Shaurya was about to rebuke when Anokhi came there.
" Mr Sabharwal who is she? Aap aise kisi se badtameezi se baat nahi kar sakte. " Anokhi said gently.
" Anokhi go back " Shaurya said.
" But you....." Anokhi started.
" No it's ok. I should go. " Aastha said and walked away giving Anokhi a little smile.
" What did I say not to come out. But you can't even listen to me. " Shaurya scolded her.
" You were taking a lot of time. So I just came to check if...." She whispered looking down.
Shaurya's eyes softened seeing her innocence and care.
" Now let's go. " He said gently.
As they entered the Sabharwal mansion Shaurya rolled his eyes seeing a familiar face.
" Shaurya bhai. How are you? Missed me?" Said the other person tightly hugging Shaurya.
" Arjun. " Shaurya exclaimed " leave me. We are meeting after six months not sixty years. "
Arjun laughed " bhai, we should enjoy every day as it's the last. So let's enjoy and take a chill pill. "
Anokhi stared at them in amusement and giggled seeing Arjun's antics.
Arjun looked at her with a big smile " finally I am meeting Mrs Shaurya Sabharwal. Where are my manners. Hello I am Arjun Malhotra . " Saying so he forwarded his hand towards her.
" I am Anokhi. " Anokhi smiled back and shook hands with him.
" Arjun is my bua's son. " Shaurya explained .
" You know what bhai , initially I was very dissapointed as I couldn't attend your wedding because of my project , but now you should be thankful that I didn't came. Otherwise I would have taken her for myself. You are very lucky to have such a beautiful wife. "
Anokhi blushed hearing this while Shaurya rolled his eyes. Great.
" Shut up Arjun , she is your bhabhi. " Gayatri said punching him on the head.
" Nahi maa. Ye kaha bhabhi bolega. Bhabhi bolna to iske liye paap hai. " Kanchan said.
" Correct kanchu dear. " Arjun said. " But aapko kya bulau Mrs Anokhi Sabharwal?"
" Aap mujhe Nikki bula sakte ho. " Anokhi smiled.
" Nice to meet you Nikki. Welcome to the gang. " He said pointing towards himself and Kanchan.
Anokhi smiled back and both Anokhi and Arjun began conversing.
Shaurya looked at them and left from there.
" Bebo what are you thinking?" Kitty asked.
" We should give our Anokhi bhabhi a gift. Don't you think?" Bebo said.
" But what would we do?"
" We could do a lot. " Bebo replied.
