I'm sorry but in actual virat has not lost or suffered anything. Sai was sexually harassed by a goon, became an orphan, married into a family where people insult and humiliate her over anything.

In comparison what are virat's issues. That he didn't get to marry pakhi who he considered his love, when it was his choice not to tell his family about pakhi's screw-up. He could have told his family and avoided cheating his own brother. This is an issue caused by pakhi-virat themselves so it is not a cruel thing that was afflicted on them.

Also being insulted by sai..... those insults were incredibly mild compared to the humiliation his family elders give her on a daily, and viewers don't feel sympathy for virat when sai occasionally says something bad to him because she does not humiliate him or try and hurt him in the malicious way his family and best friend does to her.

Also the kamal sir death.... sai said some bad things to virat, she literally just became an orphan and was in pain. Sai suffered more in those moments than virat and sai stopped accusing him long back of her father's death.

Then the whole tight spot thing between having to chose between sai, pakhi-family I occasionally feel bad for him, but who gets the most sympathy from the audience? Virat who only has to try and act as mediator in family arguments, or sai who is the one being abused and attacked daily? Virat is not the one who is the target of malicious abuse and insults like sai, besides the occasional taunts he gets from pakhi-family if he sides with sai.

She gave him the option of running away. He should have.

He told her his family is "traditional" and she'd have to adjust. His family is abusive- physically and emotionally. He has seen the emotional part and might not have minded the physical abusive since he condoned forcefully making her apply alta.

Sai is the only one having a spine in this show.

Forget everything else, imagine being unable to stand for your own mother!

Sai tried committing suicide post her abbas death after pakhi was already married!!!!!!!

Virat left the marriage for his duty because Jagtap had kidnapped Sai and was forcefully marrying her. Sai was a victim. Kamal Joshi needed his boss's help in getting his daughter back what was wrong in that. Virat was the head of the police station, it was his duty.

He could have let Sai stay in the hostel, what was the need to marry her.

every human has their flaws, Sai too. No one is saying Sai is perfect but to say everyone else is better than her is probably very wrong.

Anyways, that is your opinion and this is mine. till the time it is a healthy discussion it works, lets not argue over characters in a television show, at the end of the day the ball is in the CV's court to make or break the show, we can only supoort or move on..
