I’ve never understood what people mean when they say so and so carries a Sari well or so and so doesn’t. I always judge it based on how I think they look overall. But it feels like “carrying it well” is more than just looking good or bad in it. So can anyone post an example of someone not carrying it well? 🤷🏻‍♀️

On topic, Aishwarya always looks like a goddess in a Sari.

I guess people say ‘carry a saree’ cz it sounds good, it rhymes

Try saying carry a gown or carry a jeans
Now try ‘carries sarees well’...

There’s no alliteration but there’s assonance :)

So it’s semantics more or less. And it is subjective after all. Makes sense.

Also wearing a saree , not just posing for pics, but for moving around, requires a little know-how unlike say a salwar or slacks IMO...

If you aren’t used to wearing it, have no body to give you practical tips, then it’s a little challenging at least until you get used to it...
