I agree, but possessiveness kis baat ki?? Jab dekho yeh usko shaq karti rehti hai. And if she was that hell bent on having him, then she wouldn't get so freaked out by just her dreams. She would have ignored it all and done everything in her power to keep Vansh safe. But nahi. Iss ladki ne toh hamesha ulta hi kiya hai.

My point is that in order to hold onto viewers, stories need to be told in an engaging manner on a very basic level. That is something that the CVs have been failing to do on a consistent basis.

I mean, how do you get something as simple as your character's age wrong? The fact that they don't even have this simple fact locked down says a lot about the kind of attention the story was given.

That's true. they should finalise what the basic plot at the very beginning. age (always be consistent), basic character should not change every day that change should be very gradual.

Riddhima's strong belief on her dreams over reality is fcking unbelievable. Meine honestly kabhi aisi ladki nahi dekhi. Phir yeh bolti hai ki mujhe sach ki talaash hai. Aur kahan milta hai isse sach? Apne sapno mein??

Trust hi ka toh chakkar hai. Since day one neither one of these characters have trusted each other. Given the premise of the show, that makes sense. But the expectation is that these misunderstandings would change over time but none of that has happened here. Seven months later, these two are still at the same stage where they claim to love each other, but bharosa toh ittu sa bhi nahi hai.

Until these two don't start fully trusting each other, inka kuch nahi ho sakta.

It’s interesting how you give a twist to your stories at the end. I thought general musings hai yeh Riddhima ki but she was actually realising how toxic their relationship is and actually chose to set Vansh in his place. Kya baat hai! Loved it 👏

The thing with RiAnsh is that Riddhima is an enabler and Vansh has many dark sides. She was initially a woman with a strong backbone. It probably intrigued him a lot to watch how she shook with fear and yet put him in his place many times.

But a consistent theme in Riddhima’s character is her love. She will and CAN die for the man she loves. It’s literally Ishq Mein Marjawan for her. She did that for Kabir when for his sake, she married Vansh. And she is doing that since she fell in love with Vansh. For him, she will take bullshit from everyone and accept whatever crap he throws at her. And because she enables him, Vansh continues to show this manipulative and abusive behaviour when provoked.

As per me, Vansh may have softened because he believes now that Ridz loves him truly. But give him one good reason and he will again be violent with his words and behaviour.

In ITV, this is normal behaviour. Pushing, pulling, gala dabana, sab ke saamne bezzati karna is normal behaviour. Bas kuch male characters the jo aisa nahi karte the and still became popular. Unn mein se ek ko bhi TRP pressure ne aisa bana diya due to a hypnosis nonsensical track. I am referring to N1, N3 and recently N5 ke male leads. But zyada nahi kahungi because this isn’t the forum for that.

I wish there was another way to show dark love. So many ways to make things sexier without breaking bangles and paralysing one’s wives 🤔

Tbh, I let the stories write themselves out. My initial concept for the piece was to simply focus on Riddhima being guilty for betraying Kabir by falling in love with Vansh, while simultaneously be guilty about her deceptive ways towards Vansh. By the time I was finished with the whole thing, Vansh's guilt also surfaced.

Agreed. The initial Riddhima is the one that I appreciated the most. She would be vulnerable and scared, but that didn't stop her from standing up for herself.

The enabling quality that you have mentioned is something that I can't tolerate. It irks me greatly because of very obvious reasons. This man is extremely toxic and needs to mend his ways, but instead of being stopped, he's just being egged on.

Absolutely! The reasoning behind his so called revenge on her still doesn't make sense to me. Apparently he always knew that Kabir was the one who sent Riddhu, so why punish her so badly? He should have directed all his energies onto Kabir instead.

This image that is perpetuated to men really needs to end. This type of violent behavior is not normal, and most importantly, it's not romantic. It's abuse, plain and simple.

I agree. But apparently the CVs want to go down this route and romanticize this disgusting behavior instead.
