Same here. I love thrillers because they get my brain cells working and I like being able to predict what is going to happen and I like it even more when I am unable to predict the ending. It gives me a huge high if I am satisfied with a thriller because I have read so many of them that not many manage to shock me any longer.

I so want to have a couple of thrillers or mysteries as book/books of the month but I am yet to come across something with stellar reviews. If you have any suggestions please let me know. I find it easy to find books in the contemporary fiction and historical fiction genre, but very few good suggestions in the thriller genre.

@bold: I have the same problem. Although I haven't read too many books.

@italics: I do have a few books in mind but the thing is, I don't really know how much everyone here has read in this genre. I feel like everyone has read classics like The Murder of Roger Ackroyd and And Then There Were None (except me) but I'm not sure. These are definitely something everybody should read as it's one of those books that makes the foundation of the crime/thriller. Then there are other, newer works like In Cold Blood by Truman Capote. It's a true story and has outstanding reviews on GR and every other 'must read' lists I've come across. I can come up with more titles if you'd like.

I liked the story of Rebecca and you guys were right, I did get used to the style of writing quite fast. My only problem though was that the chapters were really long and the story dragged on so I lost interest quite quickly and it was an effort to keep reading. When its a good book I usually cant put it down but here this wasnt the case.

I am excited about the 2 new BOTMs🥳 i think i will start with Shipped and leave Maybe Someday for later because I want to read the whole series.

I read it ages ago. It is just that I like COHO's other books such as November 9 and All your perfects more as I have mentioned before.

BTW there is a novella connected to maybe someday about the two other characters. I liked it more. It's pretty hilarious.

Yes, they do 😛

BTW if I am not mistaken, you showed interest in reading dark romances. I have a suggestion for you. Try books by LJ SHEN. She never failed me.
