Nice to know your aunt's surgery is successful and hope the post op period is tided over, then no issue at all, she may have to rest for a month or two, post that she will be active like before, nothing changes. Yes, food restrictions of avoiding butter, ghee, cheese, deep fried, more salty or heavy Indian sweetmeats which less knowledgeable family people prepare with lot of love, will prevail, many patients who do surgery think they have nothing to worry and eat recklessly resulting in a relapse. But if you are prudent with your diet, there are patients living even 20-25 years post surgery and even patients living only on heart medications survive. Guess she is vegetarian so not talking of red meat to be shunned. And yes, an exercise regime of at least 30-45 minutes of walk daily or at least 5 times a week, is mandatory for all heart patients. In monsoons you can walk around your home.

At the end of January almost, soon we begin a new month. Almost a year of this dreaded virus. How normal and happy we were earlier, everything seems so abnormal now, people going around in masks, maintaining distance, businesses and livelihoods affected, such a dark phase in human life.

But hope springs eternal in human breast as Alexander Pope said, so let's await the new dawn!❤️

Yes Madhu, yesterday morning she gained concious and recognised her son and by evening she gained more improvement. I did not call today, what I feel is not to intrude too much, I will get her information anyway, so why distrub? There are some family rules to maintain so that the relationships within the families remain intact😊
