you are right.I like Hindi serials more.kavyanjali did not run for a long time.it didn't have leap too.but another show with a similar title with a the same lead actress came. manasaputhri didn't have leap.there was amma which was a Bengali show remake which had leap.what I meant is most of the south shows can't drag more than 3 years.basically star related south channels have the longest running shows.but not more than 3 years.very few shows like karuthamuthu(bcz of lead actress actor issues they took leap)n amma took long leap.that's why I said that in south leap is very rare

I know about that Karuthumuthu (Karthika Deepam/ Karthik Purnima), the whole story had a leap of 25 years or more and then it went on and on with sisters and their daughter story...

Years ago there were shows like Kavyaanjali (2004) and Ente Manasputri (2007) in Malayalam which dragged for years with CRAP..

Compared to South Shows the HINDI shows have PROGRESSIVE AND MODERN CONCEPT FILLED CONTENT..

South Television is still stuck with MORE OF REGRESSIVE CONTENT....

Over the years, Pandian Stores is the ONLY SHOW IN SOUTH which I have felt has a PROGRESSIVE CONTENT...

I have seen the Malayalam version of Diya aur Baati Hum which was named Parasparam....

God, they made an a**hole sh*t of original Diya aur Baati Hum in Parasparam

Same for SNS1 remake, already SNS1 was BIG CRAP, but the Malayalam remake, I guess was Chandanamazha something....

God, even EK will fail to show such HORRIFIC saas-bahu sh*t 🤢 as they showed in that series...

Personally, I feel HINDI PHs and HINDI ITV is much better than South ITV!

It did have SEVERAL LEAPS and did RUN FOR LONG TOO...as far I remember, I guess it ran between 2004-2008 !

Now I understand why this Kavyanjali was ONE AMONG THE SHITTIEST MALAYALAM SHOWS ever!

I just read that Kavyanjali was EK's first PRODUCTION VENTURE in Malayalam Television Industry...

EK had spread her VIRUS in MALAYALAM TV too....🤢

Ente Manasputri did have SMALL LEAPS like of months and one/two years but still ran for 3 years just and just and just on CRAP...🤢

There was also a HISTORICAL DRAMA,

I guess the name was Kayamkulam Kochunni something like that which again ran for atleast 4-5 years and changed the ORIGINAL HISTORY...and it had 3-4 leaps, plus flashbacks....

Again they made an orIginal historical show to a DAILY SOAP for RATINGS...

There were also several other shows in other channels which have had leaps and ran for 5-7 or 8 years and not part of Star remakes...

However, I don't remember their names....

So, Malayalam Serials too drag for LONG when it comes to GETTING RATINGS!

Plus, they promote very REGRESSIVE CONTENT!

It really frightens to me compliment Zee shows but i just ended up watching the premiere of Teri Meri Ik Jindri's first episode. So this a romcom with lots of light hearted elements. ML and FL both are just like the promos and both are rich. They have parents and families both. The only negative character of the show is the FL's 'Jijaji' although negative would be a bit harsh to say, we can call him a grey shade. Other than that not a single character in this show is stereotypical. They all are modern characters and FL is passionate about her driving career. Her relationship with her mom, her future MIL, her future grand MIL is really really good. The execution is fast paced and the best part about the show is that its 30-40 episodes are already pre shot. Overall the show is a great entertaining watch. The cinematography is very bright and vivid. Talking about Jogi and Mahi, the two share a good chemistry. If the show remains like this for atleast next 50 episodes then Ghum will have a healthy competitor. But seriously TBH i would say ye show itna hilarious aur cool hai that for now i would prefer to watch this over the OTT Ghum. Overall i am rating the first episode (8/10).😎

I am also talking about the same Kavyanjali.It didnt have long leaps at all.They didnt even show the story of small kids.This show didnt run for long.But they started another show named Katha parayum kavyanjali with the same lead actress,but it had a new story.it also did'nt run long.

Ente manasaputri also didnt have long leaps.I am talking about 20 yr old leaps,not small leaps.

Kayankulam kochunni's cae is diff.in the first pomo itself it was evident that they will show the hero's whole life.so leaps were expected.in south even high trps shows(i guess asianet shows have the higest trps in Kerala n the longest shows r in Asianet) r not having 20 yrs leaps except very few shows.Shows r not extended with 20 yrs leap.In south very rarely a show runs more than 3 yrs.I don't know the reason.

(1) Teri Meri Ik Jindri (I never thought i would say this - Entertaining & Unique)

(2) Kyun Uthhe Dil Chhod Aayi (Impressive)

(3) Pandya Store (Uninteresting Borefest)

Fact - Teri Meri Ik Jindri was previously titled 'Delhi Vs Haryana'.

But again zee ke most of shows low rated hai toh isko lead kahase milega.....agr ratings achi aaye toh show acha jayega aagey bhi warna zee to hai hi usko ruin karne......i wish it gets good ratings and zee me atleast 1 good show ho

I wish in the very first week itself it opens with 2+ ratings. Bohot hi funny aur sweet show hai with modern thinking.

Which south show ran for 8 years? I think there are tamil serials like Kolangal, Chellamay, Kasturi and even Pavitra Rishta of Zee was originally a Tamil Serial which ran for years...

I actually don't know the names of serials which ran for 8-10 years , because personally I have not watched many of them

Few years ago, I was working in Kerala and there when staying in a PG, I got to know about all the NEW AND OLD SOUTH SERIALS!
