I don't think Kunal was playing abir di, he loved abir the most, even more than meenu. But yeah, in the sense that he pretended he loved kuhu, he did lie to abir

When I wasn't aware of mishku history since I started watching the show quite later, even I was rooting for the sisterly bond. I didn't know one of them was pure evil. anyway, now since last few episodes I think mish was equally responsible for the crap she was being served as she didn't even learn from past experiences 😔

You're right..mishti shouldn't have tolerated all these taunts by kuhu and pretended to be best friends in front of family. I guess she had her own set of insecurities thanks to her family and kuhu that she actually internalized a lot of the taunts. She felt so indebted to mahs for accepting her that she accepted kuhu's taunts as a package deal and didn't complain. But she got the result of that after her marriage 😭

So true sums and we were discussing this yesterday too, not having a parent to protect her interests badly affected her. Of course BM and BP were there but she still had so many insecurities says a lot about their presence in her life when she needed protection from the taunts 😔

Mishbir should have actually left both houses and get settled in another town in my opinion. They needed to be far away from both families. 🤔

BP-BM tried their best to be great parents to mishti but I guess they also had some limitations as Kuhu was their granddaughter too. I also think mishti didn't feel like sharing her issues with kuhu because she didn't want them to pick between her and kuhu. We saw another example of that with nishant. Mishti agreed to marry Nishant for her family because she didn't want to hurt them and also she thought nishant is their own.

I so wished mishbir had moved out after marriage. At least we got to see a glimpse of mishbir house, thanks to abir's baba. Anyway we can still imagine that mishbir moved out with Amish after the show ended

Yeah imaginations are our biggest help when it comes to mishbir's happy life. Mishbir in their own house and dealing with different challenges there would have been a much better track. But khair.

Yeah, that's a valid point Sumi. And saying BM, BP were not good parents will also be unfair. BP after all was father goals. So yeah, Mish herself too took it on herself to hide her plight. koi kya karein

Episode 78 last part

Ketu greets nanu at breakfast table and wonders where are her brothers?

Nanu gives her news bulletin that Nidhi Mami went to her parents house with Atul because Ketu made the excuse of her hobby class, Abir Kunal are getting ready. Nanu is such a dramebaaz 😆

Ketu protests she didn’t make excuses about classes

Abir comes and signals nanu, Ketu gets mad that Abir isn’t telling her anything about their secret

Abir tells Ketu to just follow his lead and answer questions, she will understand what’s going on

Abir sees Kunal coming downstairs and tells Ketu to play word association game. Nanu and Ketu play the game with Abir. As soon as Kunal arrives at the table, Abir says Rainbow, Kunal automatically says Kuhu! Maasi and Ketu are shocked. Masi asks what did he say?

At Mah house the ladies are decorating the living room for Chauhans arrival. Jas says Kuhu is lucky she got another alliance so quickly!
Varsha says it’s not necessary this alliance is right for Kuhu. BM says they don’t know if it’s right but they do know Kunal wasn’t right for Kuhu

BP says truth is they don’t know much about Kunal but they do know his mother really well now, the boy might be good but his mom will never let their daughter live in peace!

Yeh baat 100% true, 👍🏼 before marrying a guy, study the mother, usually if mom is bad son will be bad too! Even if the boy is great, the mom won’t let bahu remain peacefully and will play every trick to drive her out!

Kuhu was going to talk to her family but Mishti holds her back. She tells Kuhu ever since Kunal heard about her new suitor he’s become restless, he didn’t sleep all night (hain Mishti how did you know that? )

Mishti tells Kuhu that Abir is trying to convince their mom, so Kuhu should keep quiet now and not create a scene, not even mention Kunal

Abir asks Kunal why did he take Kuhu’s name?

Kunal says he told bhai everything in detail then why is he asking? Abir says no use hiding it from everyone else. Ketu demands to know what’s going on, she begs Kunal to tell her but he tries to escape

Abir says okay let Kuhu get engaged to someone else. Nanko will have sleepless nights his whole life!

Ketu finally gets it! She asks Kunal is it him and Kuhu? She already guessed it! KuKu are perfect for each other! Meenu enters just as Ketu is yelling this! Abinal nanu all look nervously at Meenu’s stern face 😱

Mishti tells Kuhu they never got along, Kuhu says they pretended for so long so what’s one more day? One last time then, Mishti says let’s go!

Meenu demands to know, so Kunal and Kuhu maheshwari are perfect for each other? Does he want to say anything else which makes the ground move under her? Or any other shocking news that gives her a heart attack and removes their impediment? 😆Meenu asks if anyone cares about her? About what she says, why she says it?

Meenu’s hand movements here looked like classical dancing lol😆

Abir reminds Meenu when she rejected Kuhu and switched Rishta at the last moment then Kuhu was equally shocked too right?

Nanu agrees if Meenu hadn’t switched alliance there wouldn’t be this problem now

Meenu asks nanu can this problem be solved by blaming her? Did she create this problem?

Kunal tells Meenu that Mahs are finding another match for Kuhu and he just realized this, doesn’t mom want him to be happy?

Meenu tells Kunal if he’s asking this question that means she definitely did something wrong

Meenu says first go and ask the Mahs if they are ready for KuKu alliance? After that all of them can talk to her!

Abir tells Kunal he can talk to mom later, right now Kuhu needs him. Meenu signals Kunal to go ahead.

Kuhu pretends to apologize to her family and promise to get ready on time. Mishti tells her not to overdo her dress up, suitor is just coming to see her, it’s not her wedding 😆
Mish says Kuhu needs time to get to know Saurav too! BM agrees, tells Kuhu she can take her time just as Mishti did. They won’t decide anything without her consent. Varsha asks her to promise she will honestly give this alliance a chance. Mishti makes Kuhu agree

Kunal lost in thoughts remembers apologizing to Kuhu about Rishta swap and Kuhu telling him she will reject him if his alliance came for her again. Kunal remembers their friendly moments and mentally apologizes to Kuhu as his brother is most important to him even more than her friendship

Mishti making Kuhu ready for Chauhans, Kuhu checking her phone, Mishti tells her to let this meeting happen, later she will meet Abir and sort it out

Kuhu says sometimes she feels Mishti really cares for her! 🐷 Then she remembers Mish doesn’t even like her. Hashtag Frenemies

Mishti says hashtag family!

Abir in his room suddenly notices his painting is uncovered and panics, he covers it again and hides it behind some stuff. Meenu suddenly comes and says Kunal is hiding things from her. Abir says we hide things either to avoid hurting others or to avoid their hurtful response.

Meenu says her every word hurts Abir. Abir reminds her they were talking about Kunal so let’s not digress

If Kunal had said back then that he wanted to marry Kuhu instead would she have agreed without hurting him? Meenu says Kunal’s decision has made her vulnerable

Abir asks would she still not admit that she made that decision impulsively? Didn’t she just want Kunal to not marry and become distant to her?

Abir tells Meenu that shweta is back and trying to trap Kunal again but it’s good that Kunal isn’t upset about shweta but completely focused on Kuhu

Abir begs Meenu to reconsider Kuhu for Kunal

Meenu looks emotionally at Abir (sob sob Mishti is stealing her sonny boy from her, so sad)

Abir asks if there’s something else bothering her? Meenu says he won’t understand and leaves. Abir looked alarmed.

Yeah I meant Kunal was playing along with Abir who was trying to make him confess his feelings for Kuhu

Kunal was pretending and saying what Abir wanted to hear

It was noteworthy that Kunal mentioned 'what if I declare I will marry kuhu'? And abir says 'what do you mean? If you say you will, you will have to'. So maybe their plan was already formed here that they will only pretend that they want to get kuku married.

Hearing abir's promises in this episode breaks my heart, remembering how they were not kept 😔

Mishti was in his room when he sent her that message at Nanu’s nagging so maybe Mishti was trolling him here 😆

IKR his big promises here makes me mad that he didn’t keep them later and sacrificed Mishti at the altar of brotherly love 😡
