They think it is shameful to father a daughter !! So wed her off as soon as....

And also they think husband owns wife... can do ANYTHING with her !

There have been cases where good educated ppl also hv same mentality about their wives. So many girls life get ruined as their parents want nri boy for them thinking it will secure their life and future.

seriously! I don’t think he even liked Montys family so what was he thinking! All that frustration finally came out in the last episode so why was he so dumb to continue with the wedding plans. He thinks they’re cheap and stingy yet he kept going on with the dumb plans. What a terrible father and didn’t even do a check on the guy or family. Anokhi is brilliant student, great public speaker and caring person and Monty the total opposite!!

Can’t wait until he finds out about his son quitting engineering.

Have to give credit to Babli for being on the pill and avoiding building a family with Vineet- she knows that will just make matters worse so it’s almost like she has been thinking about leaving him but hasn’t fully executed on it.

Will also add that scene after dolly’s Sangeet when Vineet tried to attack Babli and Anokhi stopped him - the two sisters are talking and Anokhi tells her she understands why she’s on the pill was one of the best sisters scene I’ve seen. So understated and real.

LOL, all the father wants is get the girls married ASAP. What I liked is that Babli, despite knowing her situation, she didn't want her sister to land up in a similar situation wherein she is mistreated by her to-be spouse. She didn't want history to be repeated with her.

Yes I also like Babli a lot. She should be credited for anokhi's success. She has been a great support for her little sister. And I just hope that she get what she deserves.

Respect for her selfless love between these sisters.

Anokhi's father seems to loathe the entirety of womankind in general.Even if he didn't approve of Anokhi getting educated,he could have atleast shown some affection or concern for her.But he doesn't have any love of any kind for either Niki or Babli. He would not mind his daughters' lives getting destroyed as long as he is rid of his responsibilities. Even the Sabherwals are better than him in this regard. They might be hypocrites but even they don't possess this kind of apathy towards their own daughters.
