I am wating for ravvan and viveka marriageđ
Satyan recovery also đ
As an outsider, many of us do wonder what does satyen see in smrita. Likewise I remember satyen wondering aloud on what does Naina see in Inder, smrita wondering what does Raanav see in the ill matched glasses and saree sporting viveka and Viveka in turn wondering why does she miss Raanav so much and why is it out of proportion to the time they have actually courted.
One relationship has seen 30 years and the other ones have seen 3 months may be? Be it 30 or 3, we are tuned to evaluate and reevaluate .
May be in the grand scheme of things life, satyen has time and again reevaluated smrita's flaws and is in acceptance of them ( more than most people would do) just for the same reason that her flaws are maybe not out of proportion to the quality of life and the personal happiness he has had with her in their marriage .
May be Inder in these three months realizes that Naina is good for him despite her penchant for high life. Maybe Raanav and Viveka know somewhere inside that one on one they are good for each other despite their oddities that the world sees them surrounded with
I guess my point is many relationships work not because the people involved are flawless, they do because their frustration stemming out of their partner's flaws are not in proportion to and are sufficiently over ridden by the personal equation they share in the big picture of life .
If people were to break off their relationship majorly based off of how the world sees them, 95 out of 100 would. Nature of God's law is that we are designed to be selfish and look out for our personal comfort.
Dadu has lived a colorful life with Dadi for donkey's years!! Leh! anything more to be said ?đ

Well said đand very correctđđ»
I cant wait to read Rannav and Viveka accepting that they love each other and work together to get married .
Nisha you are an amazing writer. Waiting for next update eagerly ...
So true Errantnomad. People learn to live with the flaws as long as overall they have a good thing going.
Satyen is still in a bad shape. If he declines further, will Viveka relent and go into it the make the man happy?

Oh wow!
Very well written. I never thought of it this way
Itâs good sign from Ranaav that he didnât hold in replying the next second.
Duty
She met him before she thought she ideally should. Around 2 PM At the hospital
She checked on Satyen in the morning around 9ish he was still unwell
She was not able to concentrate on research anyway, so she left JNU and took a Metro to Moolchand
He met her in the lobby, he looked exhausted, she had never seen him with a beard/stubble.
He was wearing blue jeans and dull pink cotton shirt, and comfortable Toms on his feet
She felt overdressed in the now semi crisp purple cotton saree and shawl and the wooden hairsticks with bells at the end
He tried not to check her out, I mean in a hospital lobby with Dad laying unconscious upstairs
Umm.. yeah probably not a great idea
But couldnât help himself
âHow is he?â
âUmm⊠just as usual, sedatedâ
âKyon theek nahi ho pa rahe?â she asked gathering her pallu furiously
âNot sure his BP keeps droppingâ
âI am sorryâ
âthanksâ he nodded
âTum ghar nahi gaye 3 din se?â she asked though he was clearly wearing different clothes today
âhow do you know?â he asked shocked
âOh?â Umm.. u look tiredâ she mumbled and followed it with a âUffâ
âI just stayed across the street in a hotelâ
âYAHA PAR?â she was surprised
âTraffic right?â he said fearfully
Her heart went out to him as she imagined him trying to rush back to the hospital upon hearing some dire news and being caught in the horrendous traffic
âAre you glad you have a 1000 friends?â she teased gently
âUmm.. I would just like my Dad back please?â he teased her back
They both just looked at each other
âI know its not visitor hoursâ âDekh sakti hoon kya?â
âUmm.. lets seeâ he walked with her, urging her to go, as they took the elevator upstairs
âHow many classes did you have?â
âNone⊠Mrs Gulati is backâ she said sadly âI just hung around wastefully watching her teachâ she said sadly
Raanavâs family knew enough people up the chain at JNU she could get a permanent offer in an hour
They could endow a few crores to JNU and make it happen
He exhaled sharply when he realized he was thinking this way
They stepped out into a long hallway and he walked toward the private lounge
Smrita was sitting on a plush chair her head thrown back, eyes closed
She stirred every few seconds, indicating she was just tense and awake
She heard footsteps and her eyes turned into saucers when she saw Viveka with Raanav
She sat up stiffly, her mouth opening and closing unable to form words
âHelloâ Viveka said nervously
Smrita nodded, another man that looked as gorgeous as her sat by Smrita, and a lady on the other side. She had the same round face as Inder
Vivekaâs heart skipped a beat
Oh no! Inderâs parents!! Her radar went crazy warning her
She had to gasp softly to calm herself
They did look at her curiously.
âLet me check with the on duty nurseâ he whispered
A lady in a crisp uniform sat behind a high tech desk staring at her 3 monitors
He whispered to her she argued with him, and then 5 ish minutes later, he did a gesture with his hand, saying âcome onâ
She cleaned up and saw Satyen, he was asleep with the giant oxygen mask covering his face
She couldnât stay for more than 5 minutes, the nurse escorted them out
Viveka quickly swallowed her tears. Last thing she wanted Smrita to see was that she was emotional for Satyen. It was not going to earn her any praise. Instead Smrita would see it as a ploy to con Raanav
She had somewhat made up her mind this morning
Its amazing what a sleepless night can do
âIs he up?â Smrita walked over to where they were to enquire
Viveka did not respond since she knew the Q was not directed at her
âNo, still knocked outâ he mumbled rubbing his eyes. If he was crying he didnât want his mother or the woman he claimed to be in love with ever find out
âBP kaisa hai?â
âUmm.. still kinda low, but lets see after an hour?â
âDoc where is the Doc?â
âShe was just here at 1â he told his mother calmly
She looked agitated and unhappy. Viveka wanted to give her a hug. She imagined Anu that way, her belly muscles tightened into a rock. Unimaginable she decided
Smrita was not looking for succor from her she never will
Maybe from Lekha
Surely from Lekha Tandon. Even in grief she wants to be comforted only by those with wealth
âCan you call the Doc?â
âI will MaâŠ. Calm downâ he squeezed her shoulder
âYou are not even trying no?â she was not happy
âWe cannot have one here on callâ
âWHY?â she demanded
Viveka stepped back and checked her messages
âUmm.. will talk to you in a second
âKahan ja rahe ho uske saath?â Smrita hissed
âNowhere, just grabbing a cup of coffeeâ
âABHI?â she challenged
âBe back⊠yeah, do you want anything from starbucks?â
âMy usualâ she mumbled
âI will be back in 10â he said
âText me their ordersâ he waved at his Uncle and Aunt
âChai?â he asked
âYou better be with your familyâ she offered
He paused took a deep breath
âIts fineâ
âRaanavâ she reached for his hand hoping that would stall him, he shook it off
âLets GOâ he growled
âWe can chat in the in that⊠over there⊠wahanâ
âVivekaâŠ. I want to go get a coffeeâ he was super mad his face was inches from her
âChilla kyon rahe ho?â she questioned looking into his eyes
âI am telling you we can go, you just donât listenâ
âCoffee peeyogey to kaise so ogey?â
âLet me worry about thatâ he grabbed her hand firmly
âRaanavâ
Smrita watched from far, Viren leaned and asked her something
Viveka saw it all with her side eye
âWill he be up on his own? Or will they wake him up?â she asked as they rode the elevator
âThey usually wake him up, he talks too muchâ
She smiled spontaneously and quickly composed herself
âYou like that donât you?â he teased with an energetic smile
âI talk more than most people so I can totally get itâ she smiled more freely now
âDid he talk a lot last night with you?â
She nodded self consciously
âYeah he doesnât know when to stopâ he growled
âTum bhi to baat karte ho, lawyer hoâ she gave him a side taunt
âIts not quite like the TV lawyersâ he laughed
âI was thinking of your 1000 friendsâ
He guided her to the car
A gleaming silver Merc
âI am sorry about the carâ she mumbled
She had read a blurb about the car and how expensive it was
âIts fineâ he nodded as he opened her door
âIt was horrific all the way aroundâ she whispered emotionally as they stood near the car door and stared at each other
âThanksâ
âDid you want to say something?â he pressed since she would not get in the car nor talk
âUmm⊠nahiâ she shook her head looking at the pavement
âWhen will you go home?â
âWhen he goes homeâ he said quietly pulling out of the parking spot
