“ There is one way out.” Said Ravi, they were in Paridhi’sroom. It was morning, Paridhi was stillasleep. “ What is that?” asked Rajat “ Yes Piyali suggested it. What if we get thesetwo married. May be if we get these twomarried. She looked into his eyes in search of truthand found pure happiness and love. “ Sach... “ she asked Rajat nodded. But beforehe could do anything, there was a knock on the door. “Rajat is Pari awake.” Itwas Piyali. “ Yaar tumhari bhabi na mere jaan ki dushman hai.” Rajat said infrustration. Paridhi giggled and pushed him to the door while she went into thewashroom. Rajat opened the door. “ Professor Dixit is calling you and Paridhifor the journal reading. We are in the coffee shop.” Piyali said “ Ok , we willbe there.” Rajat answered smiling. “Don’t be late .... doing other things.”Piyali said smirk and a wink. “ Bhaaaabi...” Rajat shouted in a whiny voice.

Paridhi and Rajat were down in thecoffee shop. Paridhi wore a pair of skiny jeans and sleeveless maroon top.Rajat wore a pair of blue jeans and white button down half sleeve shirt. Everyoneelse was also present there. “ Chalo lets have some journal reading again.”Said Dr Bashak.

Jab woh mere paas merekaksh mein aaye toh main dar ke dur chali gayi shayad yeh maine thik nahi kiya.Par main kya karti. Mujhe kuch samaj mein hi nahi aya.”

“He had gone into depression at thatpoint of time. I got him out of it with a lot of difficulty.” Paridhi said.Everyone looked at Rajat “ yes Atgah Sahab’s death, Mahamanga’s betrayal hadtaken a toll on me. If not for Jodha I don’t know what I would have done.”Rajat answered smiling.

“Aaj Deewan e Khas mein kuch ayesahuwa jisne mujhe soch mein dal diya. Rukaiya begam ne mera dushra bacha maangdaala kya karu.

Sahanshah unki baat nahi maan rahe,paar unki haalat mujhse chupi to nahi hai. Woh ek bache ke liye tadap rahi hai.Par main Sahanshah ke khilaaf kaise jaau. Mujhe unse baat karni hogi.”

Just than Rajat's phone rang, “hello. Papa haan. Kasl , acha kitne baje. 4:00 pm .I'll be there. Kya bahu lekeaau .” Rajat looked at Paridhi, and smiled. I'll get her along.” Rajat hung up. “ Papa called, they arearriving tommrow. They want to both of us at the airport.” Rajat held Paridhi’sthand under the table.

“ Hmm Maa and Baba are also arrivingday after.” Informed Partha. “ letscontinue reading some more" said Piyali. “ Then we can take a break. We need to go shopping in the evening. Whatwill be the venue.” Asked Piyali.

Rajat looked at Paridhi. “The SheeshMahal, Amer fort.” Rajat answered smiling. “ I'm taking my Jodha back where shebelongs. It has to be grand. And it is the wedding of the Kapoor’s it has to begrand.” Paridhi blushed. She hid her blush and continued to read.

“Maine unhe mana liya. Par abdekhte hai age kya hoyta hai. Aaj Tesham humse milne ayi thi. Unhone batayaMahamanga bahut bimar hai. Kya karu Sahanshah ka aadesh hai unse koi na mile.Par insaniyat kehta hai ke, mujhe unse milna chahiye.”

“ Aaj mai Mahamanga se milne gayi thiwoh to apna mansik santulan hi kho baithe hai. Kya karu kuch kha bhi nahi rahehai. Haakima ko bheja hai unkepaas. Laut te waqt Sahanshah ne dekh liya. Unhejhooth bolte huye acha nahi lagta par kya karu? Woh samjhte bhito nahi.”

“I don’t know why she was soselfless. It always hurt us.” Rajatsighed. “The person who had hurt us so much, she cared even for her.” “ Well,shehad taken care of my husband. I couldn’t forget that she had kept you alive in difficulttimes. So I was always thank ful to her.” Paridhi answered.

“ Nahi bacha pye hum unhe. Dil tutgaya Sahenshah ko yun rote dekh. Ishwar unke atma ko shanti de. Mahamanga chaligayi.”

“ It was difficult to see you cry likethat. It broke my heart.” Paridhi said.

“Look its lunch time I need a break.”Said Piyali getting up. “ Yes I have to call maa baba.” Partha said.

Everyone took a break for sometime. Paridhi and Rajat were left alone. Paridhi satnext to Rajat with her head resting on his shoulder. “ That was a painful day right.”She asked. “ hmm.” Rajat asked. “ We need to go shoping. Maa was asking what colourbanarasi she should by for the wedding?” Paridhi asked “ You know.” Rajat answered.“Still green.” Paridhi asked smiling.Rajat just smiled.

They held each others hand. “ we wontbe able to see each other once the rituals start.” Paridhi said.

Rajat and Paridhi waited at theairport arrival for last half an hour, Paridhi felt very nervous as to herwouldbe inlaws reaction. She stood wringing her hand next to Rajat. Rajat heldher hand “ don't worry you'll be fine.” He said. “ What if they don't like me?”Paridhi asked in a nervous voice. “Not possible, I don't think there is any onein this world who wouldn’t love you.” Rajat said giveing her a naughty smile. “Yeah right.” Paridhi said hitting him softly. After some time the passengersstarted arriving. “ There they are.”Rajat said pointing at a man who looked like his older version, and a beautifulwomen beside him. Rajat went forward and touched their feet. Paridhi followedthe suite. “ Jinda reh puttar" hisfather ssaid. His mother touched Paridhi’s chin and said “ nazar na lage tumhe.May God bless you. Hmmm so you are the one who has captured this nutcasesheart.I can see Why. But beta what is the hurry?” his mother asked as Rajatstarted to push their luggage trolly towards the exit. We could have a roka,then may be after a later date we could have the ceremony.” Hia mother said,Rajat and Paridhi looked at eachother. “ There is hurry. Lets go to the hotelyou'll come to know.” Rajat pleaded.

They reached the hotel by 5:30 pm. Mrand Mrs Kapoor went off to freshen up, everyone planed to meetat the coffeeshop arround 7:00 pm. Paridhi was getting ready in her room, she chose a bluechuridar, a par of tear drop pearl earrings and thin gold chain with a matchinglocket. She had left her hair open, and was about to leave when there was aknock on the door. She smiled to her self and went to open the door.

She opened the door expecting Rajatto be standing outside. But there was no one. She went out of the room andlooked up and down the passage there was no one, she srugged and was to go backto her room, when sge felt something cold bounce back from her body. She turnedto look who it was but there was no one.

She went into her room to fetch herpurse and room key card when she turned back to the door , she found Rajatleaning on the door frame and smiling at her. “ There you are.” She said walking up to him. Stood in front ofhim, “ what are you looking at Mr.?” she asked. Rajat pushed her into the room,and closed the door. He then pushed her against the wall “ Subha se tanhai meaap se rubaru hone ke liye taras rahe hai. Khuda ka sukar hai aab aap humeinakele to mile.” He looked into her eyes “ Subah se aapke honto ko chune ke liyetaras rahe hai.” He touched his lips with his thumb,Paridhi's breath hitched.He captured her soft lips in his, and deepened the kiss, Paridhi moaned softly,Rajat pulled her closer by her waist, he pushed his tounge into her mouthdeepening the kiss. Paridhi responded with same fire, just than Rajat's phonerang. Rajat let out a frustrated breath and touched Paridhi’s forehead withhis. He then looked at his mobile screen “ I hate your sis in law at times.”Hesaid as he recived the phone, Paridhi giggled. “ Hello bhabi, Why are you sucha pain will you tell me? Kis janam ki dushmani hai mere sath?” Rajat said whining,Paridhi hit him play fully. “ Oye love birds, come down aunty and uncle arewaiting from last half an hour.” Piyali said. Rajat cut the line and said “lets go” “Just a sec!” Paridhi said, then went to the mirror and touched up herlipstick and her hair “ wipe your lips.” She told Rajat, “ Why I'm not ashamedI kissed my would be wife.” He said giving her a naughty smile. Paridhi tookout her kerchief from her bag and wiped his cheeks “ Sharam karo aunty uncle haina niche.” She then pulled him out of the room and locked it. Then dragged himto the lift.

Mr Kapoor stared at the images on thescreen of Rajat’s mobile. “ How is this even possible?” He asked for the tenthtime, to no one in general. “ Anything is possible Mr Kapoor. After what we saw yesterday I'm ready tobelieve anything. “ said Proff Dixit. Rajat knelt down in front of his motherand held her hand “ Maa I have been away from her for more than 400 years.Pichli baar eyse bichre ke aab jake mile. Uske maut ke baad to main zinda lashbanke reh gaya tha, is baar bichre na maa to mar jaunga.” Rajat said. Hismother looked at him with lot of love. “ Kuch nahi hoga tum dono ko. Hum haina. Hum apne bachon ko kisi ko chune nahi denge. Kaal Jaab Ganguly pariwarayenge hum roke ka shgun lekar tayiyaar rahenge.” She pulled Paridhi towardsher and made her sit down. “ Thank you for loving my son so much. But endingonce life is not a solution,I jope you know that this time round.” She askedher. Paridhi nodded. She then picked up a box that was lying next to her “ Thishas been in the family for as long as I can remember.” She then opened a velvetbox and took out a pair of kangan. They were gold and studded with diamonds.She put it on Paridhi’s wrist. Paridhi touched her feet. Partha had got hisparents on a video call. “Paridhi, see this is your banarasi.” Her mothershowed her. It was a Dark Green banarasi with red border and pallu. “ It isvery pretty maa.” Paridhi replied. “ All the relatives will be arriving fromtommrow. Tommrow morning we will be going shopping for Roka, haldi, andSangeet.” Said Piyali. “ Yes even our relatives will arrive from tommrow. “ MrsKapoor said smiling “ welcome to the family beta.” She said and kissedParidhi’s forehead. Paridhi looked at Rajat and back at Meera , “ You knowaunty you are just like her.” She said.Rajat smiked. “ Like whom” Piyali “Like Ammijaan. Hamida bano begam. I was her favouritedaughter in law.” Paridhi said. “She missed you. She was broken. It felt likeshe had aged ten more years after she recieved the news. She sought relief inour Salim. She said he was a splitting image of you.” Rajat said smiling.
