Again vansh is taking riddhima as weak.. It's not done.. Whatever the raisinghaniasnhave done with riddhima had made her weak emotionally. They are yet to understand it.

Chapter 20

Ridhima is shocked to see Benjamin like that. She has no idea what had happened? She knows fact that the loser should die, but the way Benjamin was killed, she has no clue. Why King for so angry? Ridhima searches for Sher however while running for him, she gets hit to someone. Where Ridhima is about to fall but that person holds her hand.

"Vansh,"

says Ridhima seeing he is the person who holds her. She stands straight moving away from and searching Sher while notices her eyes were not on him. Infuriated by her ignorance Vansh says,

"Looks like, you are still an emotional fool, Ridhima"

making her look at him.

Understanding Ridhima doesn't get anything in her mind, he asks,

"You still didn't understand why King has ordered to kill Benjamin right?"

Ridhima stands stills and looks at Vansh, while the latter smirks and asks,

"Shall I tell you the reason?"

Ridhima wants to ask him the reason but then she remembers what he said and moves away from Vansh, while he holds her hand and comes closer,

"You haven't changed a bit Ridhima,"

says Vansh while Ridhima controls herself,

"What do you want from me, Vansh?"

Seeing Vansh being quiet, Ridhima moves near him and says,

"You know what is your problem is? You're tormenting yourself with my betrayal while I moved on and doing something where I'm kinda happy. I told you then and now, I know I did wrong, I begged you for the forgiveness, but then again it is you who told me to leave VR Mansion and your life. And, now we are here. I might be an emotional fool Vansh, but you are the one biggest emotional fool got provoked by Kabir's words. Now, I don't need VR in my life, but seeing you, I can say you need Ridhima in your life and with no regrets I say, I can't"

removing his hand, Ridhima leaves from the place making Vansh burn in his anger.

Ridhma reached to the staff wing and waiting for Sher but then again she remembers King can speak with anyone at any time, so she stands before the CCTV footage and asks,

"Hey, Kingmaker! I know you are watching me, so what is the mistake Benjamin did? Please tell me"

asks Ridhima while she hears no reply from him.

Ridhima tries again however there is no reply from the Debt Collector and the time is passing. It has been more than four hours, however, no one from the team came to speak with her. Confused by the actions, Ridhima walks into Sher room seeing him having his wine and enjoying the breeze

"I need an explanation and here you are enjoying the drink?"

says Ridhima with anger while Sher ignores her. Ridhima stands beside and takes the wine glass and throw into the sea making Sher angry.

"Ridhima"

shouts Sher

"I know you are angry but tell me what Benjamin did? You know even Vansh saying Benjamin cheated, how did he cheat?"

asks Ridhima while Sher turns away from her

"Sher, please"

begs Ridhima

"Why don't you think Ridhima?"

asks Sher

"Ridhima: Ah?

Sher: Yes, now why don't you think like King, I or Vansh. You will know how Benjamin cheated on you?

Ridhima: I don't think so he cheated on me?"

Sher sighs,

"How come you're like this? Sometimes I feel you are someone whom I have no idea and then later you become into a stupid"

shouts Sher making Ridhima scared

"Ridhima: Please Sher. Tell me what did I do?"

Sher smiles,

"Finally, you have asked the right question. It's not what Benjamin did? It's what you did, Ridhima,"

says Sher continuing,

"Whatever Benjamin showed to you is false. He controlled your mind. He only showed you what you wanted to see. Ridhima, to come out the memories - either you should feel suffocated, happy or sad. Well, you experienced all the moments. However, he controlled you besides you went with his flow. To say, you were the loser while he won"

says Sher making Ridhima gasp

"Then I must die, right?"

asks Ridhima

"Yes, but then again, the game is all about the mind, not the memories. He thought he will reveal the truth to everyone and get you killed. He showed the moments where you felt suffocation, sad and happy and last you were out of the memories. You were controlled"

says Sher with venom dripping from his words.

"I, my emotions and all..."

says Ridhima while Sher cuts in the middle,

"Yes, Vansh is damn right. You were an emotional fool. He played with you, Ridhima. You haven't learnt anything rather than saying some big words and lines,"

says Sher and leaves the room banging the door.

Ridhima unable to hold herself and falls on the couch while Richie who heard everything from the outside reaches to her side.

"Ridhima, it's fine,"

says Richie

"It should be, I should be the one who should get killed, Richie,"

says Ridhima

Richie holds Ridhima steadily and makes her drink water.

"Listen to me Riddhi, you have never played a Mafia mind game. So it's fine not understanding who is controlling whom. It's okay to get defeated sometimes. We will overcome it soon"

says Richie while hugging her.

"I don't know that he is controlling my mind and how he can do that?"

says Ridhima with a painful voice

Richie sighs,

"Benjamin owns the mind-controlling game, Ridhima. Due to which he could do it. However, he doesn't know how to come of the memories so he used you,"

says Richie

"He would have been alive. It is me who should have died"

says Ridhima while Richie tightens his grip on her,

"Mafia world is not safe. It is a toxic swamp populated by predators and parasites. The odds are stacked against us from the moment of conception. We survive only because we fight the elements of emotions and each other. And, although King promises us a safe harbour, that promise is a fairy tale. Only the storm is real. It comes for each of us. And we cannot win. We can only choose how we will suffer our defeat. We can meekly take our beatings, and die like lemmings, finding solace in the belief that we shall one day inherit the purity and love just like some normal people. Or, we can plunge into the chaos with eyes wide open, taking comfort instead from the bruises, scars, and broken bones which prove that we fought to live and die like warriors"

says Richie while slowly patting her back so that she can rest a bit.

Richie pulls her from he hugs and locks his eyes and says,

"We will train more on mind games. Okay? But remember Riddhi, The chains that break you, are the chains that make you. And the chains that make you, are the chains you break"

says Richie getting up from couch along with Ridhima and locks the door of Sher's room.

Next Morning:-

Today, the whole cruise is silent. Everyone can only hear the voice of sea waves but not the people. Two more people they lost yesterday and now it's time for their families to depart. King has arranged the choppers for the respective families to leave the cruise. Ridhima is standing at the top of the deck and watching while families leaving the cruise.

"Because of me two people had died and I cannot do anything for their loss,"

says Ridhima to herself while she hears Sher saying,

"Loss is like a wind, it either carries you to a new destination or it traps you in an ocean of stagnation. You must quickly learn how to navigate the sail, for stagnation is death.”

"Why are you here?"

asks Ridhima

Sher chuckles,

"Where should I be then?"

he asks

"I don't need you,"

says Ridhima while Sher smiles and catches her hand,

"I'm sorry, Riddhi. I shouldn't have lost my temper but then I just... I'm sorry,"

says Sher with honesty while Ridhima smiles and says,

"I'm sorry too"

"So what your plans for today?"

asks Sher

"I'm giving away my duties as Sia's doctor to Aniket. He will handle it going forward"

says Ridhima making Sher ask,

"Why?"

"Ridhima: I just don't want to be part of Rai Sighanaia family. I don't why but I'm feeling 'The done with them' these days"

says Ridhima making Sher smile

"Sher: If that you want, then you are ready to do. Apart from that, what are your other plans?"

"What is why my plans today?"

asks Ridhima

Sher takes a moment and finally blurts,

"Do you want to go on a date with me?"

surprising Ridhima

"Date?"

asks Ridhima again to confirm what she just heard

"Yes, a date,"

says Sher

"And where is it going to be? I have seen the whole cruise"

says Ridhima teasingly

"Well, you haven't seen the ocean yet. Would you like to come with me for underwater diving?"

asks Sher making Ridhima loss of words

"Ah, I know swimming for survival but not underwater diving, Sher,"

says Ridhima as a lost child

"Riddhi, I will be with you. If you trust me, shall we go today afternoon, once you give away your work to Aniket?"

asks Sher to which Ridhima agrees happily and leaves the place while Sher picks the connection chain and says,

"Job has done, King."

Sia's room: -

Vansh is waiting for Ridhima to come and treat Sia while he is surprised to a male doctor.

"Vansh: Wait, who are you?

Aniket: I'm Dr Aniket. Dr Ridhima said from today I will be your sister's consulting doctor

Vansh: Who gave her the rights to change the doctor for my sister?

Aniket: Sorry Mr Rai Singhania, but she is the chief doctor of this cruise and she can give orders to anyone

Vansh: Tell her to treat my sister"

says Vansh while pushing Aniket from the room of Sia.

Ridhima is all set to go with a date with Sher while Aniket reaches to her,

"Dr Ridhima, Mr Rai Sighania has requested for you to treat his sister. He doesn't want me to treat Ms Sia"

says Aniket while Ridhima understood the situation and thinks to pay a visit to Vansh before leaving with Sher

Ridhima reaches to Sia's room and sees Vansh waiting for her. Vansh stood up seeing Ridhima and marches towards her,

"How dare you to give up the responsibility?"

"Ridhima: I didn't give up my responsibility, Vansh. I have assigned another doctor for her.

Vansh: Asking someone else to do your work is giving up the responsibility, Ridhima.

Ridhima: You don't want me near her, and I'm doing the same for you. What's the problem with that?

Vansh: However, you promised another day you will treat her. Oh yes, I forgot you can easily betray anyone. Isn't it?"

Ridhima is hurt with his words while Vansh continues,

"People who reject the responsibility of thought and reason can only exist as parasites on the thinking of others,"

says Vansh while Ridhima looks at him with rage.

"Vansh: Don't look at me like that. I want you to treat my sister and you will do it. After all, it is you who caused her this. Isn't it?"

Ridhima signals Aniket to leave and move towards Sia silently. She checks her vitals and prescribed medicines.

"Ridhima: To be very frank, whatever the medicines Dr Malik or I have given, Sia should have woke up by now. However, something is not working properly. Though I have my share of doubts, will come to you with the proof. But for now, let me take a few blood samples of her.

Vansh: She will wake up right?

Ridhima: Very soon"

says Ridhima leaving Vansh in his thoughts and Ridhima with her thoughts on Sia's condition.

Ridhima forgets about her date with Sher and walks into the lab of Cruise and try to check the blood samples of Sia. While she lost the time in it, Sher comes to check on her.

"Sher: I thought we have a date to go?'

Ridhima looks up hearing Sher voice's and moves away from his gaze.

'Sorry, Sher. I forgot completely. I'm checking blood samples of Sia and then I lost the track.'

'It's fine, we have the whole night to go'

says Sher while taking steps towards her.

'Night swimming? Why at night?'

asks Ridhima.

'At night you can see many more beautiful things but for now, tell me where you are in Sia's case?'

asks Sher while Ridhima says,

'I need to study more. Right now, I can say she is being poisoned with different tablets and I know who it can be, but without evidence, I don't want to stand before Vansh.'

Sher smiles,

'Good, I will see you 10, then. Take care Ridhi'

says Sher while leaving her with smiles.

Ridhima comes at the down floor of the cruise while being ready for the underwater swimming and there she sees Sher coming towards her but with a full face mask.

"Sher, why you were covered such a way?"

asks Ridhima while he says,

"This mask helps me to see things more clearly, so I can protect you."

Ridhima says,

"Thank you! Then, give one to me too. Let me also protect you."

He comes near her and says,

"I know that you will protect me, Ridhima. However, you enjoy the ocean while I guard for you."

He takes the hand of the Ridhima and jumps in the ocean.
