Loved Virat's choice of words and expressions in that scene. He got alarmed when he got DIGs call as he was wrapping up and all set to go home to baiko. DIG said raid and he must have freaked out that ab toh dinner nahi hoga. Then he realizes its a joke. Koi extra kaam nahi hai, voh ghar jaa sakta hai. And DIG is also sweet- he says home minister ke saamne kisi ki nahi chalti and advices him to enjoy these moments. Newly weds ka "honeymoon period"hai (in pp's golden words)!
Back in school or even college, I observed that if people teased you with a certain person's name or deliberately shipped you with them, even if you didn't like them originally, after a point of time you started to kind of like them. I may be way off here, but Pakhi and Co. are doing the exact same thing for Virat and Sai. Whatever their hidden feelings for each other might've been, they were suppressed, but Pakhi ka consistent "tumhari biwi...tumhari biwi" taunt made Virat literally refer to and loudly recognise Sai as his biwi. Same with "biwi ka vaqeel". And now, with honeymoon period, honeymoon period rant, and DIG's advice, these people are actually going to make them feel like it, and it's happening too. Good for us, though.
Reiteration leads to reinforcement of a belief, and that's what we are seeing.

Oh DIG sir invited for dinner
I was just thinking a few seconds ago he might one day use DIG sir dinner invitation as an excuse for a dinner date and then DIG sir comes at his place for a surprise visit and bhanda phod of Virat plus Sai will be roothi dinner date nice but jhoot kyun bola
Now that would have been a treat to watch, but abhi itne creative and daring nahi hain Virat Sir. š¤£

Virat definitely get influenced easily. Waiting for him to use the honeymoon period reference as wellš¤£

After the reception, I had hopes from him, that he'll help Virat in actually falling in (true) love this time, since in many other shows and films we have seen friends helping the leads realise and acknowledge their love, but this guy has a knack for showing up only at the wrong time and saying only stupid things. Except for congratulating Sai on her result day, I haven't heard him speaking anything sensible. Plus, never going to forgive him for talking sh*t against Sai when she'd gone to DIG's office. :|
