@ bold Exactly ! And airing such things at a prime slot certainly seems like a practice to NORMALISE torturing your DIL with such regressive mindsets !! I myself come from an extended family and it's nothing less than a BLESSING. You always have people who care about you , love you, and most importantly stand by you even in the toughest times. Living in an extended family teaches you the values about sharing & adjustments, respecting & valuing other's perceptions / opinions just like your own. It teaches you forgiveness, togetherness & selfless love . And these aspects are so so so important in today's world !
I have always lived in a joint family and it was a blessing indeed. I was able to communicate with my grandparents. And, even now I live with my in-laws and I am able to leave my kids with my Mother in law and go out if I have some work or if I want to hang with my friends. She doesn't even shout for little things. Don't understand why the CVs are exaggerating so much.
