I think since the whole concept of BB is based on the totalitarian concept of Big Brother, the "game" is purposely designed so contestants will not have enough food, sleep, family contact, entertainment, etc. It is a game of being constantly watched for your every move and judged. And they design it this way to test everyone's patience. This is why most people lose their cool. People are already irritated when they don't have enough sleep and food. But BB wants that.

He also further irritates housemates by giving tasks which can easily lead to violence/fights.

Bully gang act like house owners. Kaun kya khayega kab soyega ration ka kya hoga sab ye decide karte hain. Koi kuch bole toh pura chad jaate hain
