I have been following Instagram and the forum for last 2 days and have been silently reading everyone's comments and trying to think what I feel about it and I realised that I am Team Riansh. Before somebody decides I am talking nonsense, hear me out.
Riddhima: Entered as a spy, married someone she hated, kept spying on him, calling him names.
Vansh: Fell in love with her despite knowing all this.
Riddhima tried to tell her past but she never confessed what she was doing even post marriage. Any spouse who says they don't care about their spouse's past from before marriage is something everyone wishes because past can only create misunderstandings and nothing else. When he got the call, that is when she had needed to accept defeat and speak up, but she still chose not to, knowing he was going to walk into something that will make him misunderstand her. Yes, Riddhima tried to tell him the truth in the letter, but even if Vansh read it, he DIED because of her betrayal. Yes, she was trying to fix her mistake, but it wasn't her battle in the first place. She forcibly entered it and messed it up, but instead of asking for help, she jumped into a story she had no idea about leading to Ragini and Vansh both dying. I am ignoring Sia's condition here because I think even Vansh knew it wasn't her and isn't taking revenge on that.
Vansh returning was only because he is a very very smart guy who was able to calculate him enemy and plan even on the run, it had no input from Riddhima. So from where he stands, even before she wrote the letter, Riddhima walked him to his death, using his emotional blindness towards her, and if he wasn't smart, that's it, it was the end.
Now coming to Riddhima, she is an orphan who is used to relying on herself and not having anyone she can reach out to ask for help when she is stuck, so asking Vansh for messing up something, wasn't something normal for her. So she did what she knew, jump into it head on and try and solve it herself. So she wasn't wrong about her decision, even though it ended in disaster.
Yes, she suffered and was tortured even before Vansh died, and yes, she knew Vansh did not listen against his family, but she didn't try also. They tried to harm and kill her multiple times, and apart from the poisoning, I don't recall her ever trying to tell him the truth about Ishani and Aryan, maybe I am wrong. Also, yes, Kabir and Annupriya tortured her, tried to electrocute her, tried to kill Ishani and she tried to take poison, she even took a bullet for Vansh, but Vansh has no idea about the former and as for the second bullet she took, she took it out of her gratitude for "Vihaan" saving her family and her love for Vansh that told her this is Vansh. For Vansh, she did it earlier as well, when she took a bullet for him only to betray him once he let that be the lever to trust her, leading to his death.
From where I can see it, none of them is wrong. Vansh had to "DIE" because of her betrayal, a betrayal she didn't commit knowingly. His anger and her hurt are both justified and I don't think it logically makes sense for her to leave Vansh after all this. They both need to grow in this relationship, the way they had started earlier, but this time, without the misunderstandings being the base. I want the truth to come out in front of both of them but I want them both to learn and grow from this where they both stop living in half truths. Riddhima needs to be angry with Vansh for his betrayal, but also understand his hurt, the same ways Vansh needs to get his anger overing dying for Riddhima out but also understand the anger she would feel on his betrayal. It the same old dialogue, "Aap biti, aap hi jaane". They both need to feel what the other felt before they can put it behind, and one person leaving another won't make that difference because either one will again go to an extreme emotion in that.
Riddhima is no abla bechari for me in the scenarios shown, and Vansh is also no despicable human being for me in the scenarios shown. I know we as Indian equate the whole suhagraat thing to be despicable for him betraying Riddhima, but somehow I don't because he didn't force her. Yes, he used her love and trust, but there was no wrong "means" used, and neither did he lie when he said he loves her, he hates her because he still loves her, despite everything she did. For me at least, the whole resort thing doesn't ruin Vansh for me but then I don't see the whole sleeping with each other thing as a deal breaker for revenge unless it turns out he did it to test her limits to "lie" to him, as he puts it.
