If anyone in Bollywood deserves such money, it's Akshay only. Totally deserving. He has been giving back to back big hits after hits after hits since more than 5 years now. Not just hits, all the films are pretty good as well.

Hits are dependent on profit. If he made that much money in fees almost all his films would be flops or disasters because they don't make that much profit. Math.

Yeah - ek teer se do nishaan - (one) to convince ad agencies to increase his endorsement prices and (two) to redirect attention from his other money, cuz a big chunk of his Canada money is from rentals (not just residential, but commercial properties that he rents out to corporates etc - he apparently owns a whole hill in the Toronto area). I guess it’s sizeable enough that he even became a Canadian citizen and all too (to avoid non-resident taxes that are put on non-citizens) and the best thing is that Canada doesn’t tax him on his Indian income (he just pays taxes for his Canadian income to Canada), which is unlike the US which taxes worldwide income.
