Shubh dupaar Bhagininno!
What is the colour of the day? đ
It is definitely not red in Chakram niwas. The episode has set the tone for the battles that will now begin : for dharma (duty/virtuousness) and also for the sav-sanrakshan (self-preservation) because one can't perform dharma without sav-sanrakshan.
What is the colour of breaking relationships? Is it Grey? Because grey is meant to be an 'emotionless' hue, which can often denote loss. I felt sorry for Virat - the crowned prince of Chavan niwas, who is surrounded only by a crowd of relationships wanting to latch on to him for their self-assurance of pride and power but can leave him in the cold when the latch is most needed -- save two people, Ashwini and Sai. For a man, to play the balancing act between mother and wife is often the trickiest. Virat is among the lucky men who has both on his side and so the battlefield that lies ahead will not be that difficult to conquer -- but it will be painful nonetheless.
The breakdown of the relationship with his 'idol', his father is evident unless there is eventual redemption for Ninad. I can understand the disappointment he feels in his son's choice of a wife like any parent would but his motivation to feel disappointed comes from the obligation to please the rigidity of the matriarch for unknown reasons. How hurtful would it be for a child, who is beginning to realise that he was looking up to the sham that his idol had cloaked himself with -- the principles and values so shallow that the idol cannot stand up for the right. In Virat's question:'Maine aapki kaunsi umeed todi hai... Main toh aapki Garv ki wajah tha...' there was a son slowly feeling the inevitable detachment from his father, but wishing he would hear something to assure him that his belief is not misplaced. đĽşBut no, Ninad did not give him any such assurance. In fact, with his direct attack at Sai, who was standing right beside Virat, Ninad ended up piercing the thorn even deeper into his son's heart. And so, the one to one between the son and father is much needed, whatever be the conclusion of the conversation.
'Main abhi Ruk Nahi paaunga' - Virat's words to Ninad -- coincidentally come just a few days after PP's 'tum Ruk Sakte ho Virat'. But no, like a stream that is rushing to unite into the river, there is no stopping for anything. Virat is in the stage of 'Vicarious Love'. At the moment, everything that Sai experiences is his own experience. So, the excitement that runs through Sai at the prospect of being able to fulfill her biggest dream is also running through Virat (without blood transfusion đ). None of the persons in that drama room understands why Virat is in "itna pyaar in majboori wali shaadi". It is because Sai is the first person he has met, who has brought out the feeling of 'being alive' and living for the million little things that actually bring meaning to life -- the dewdrop can't get over thanking him for candy flossđĽ°. Imagine! How easy is it to be happy! Only if one wishes.
Unfortunately, even parents want to live vicariously through their children. But they want to vicariously live those experiences that they couldn't create for themselves, not the ones that their children are experiencing on their own. When the child defies this expectation, the knife of guilt is pierced into that happy heart.đ
His "Main ruk nahi paunga" should be a warning to those who try to come in the way of Sai's dream and happiness. "Don't push me to do what you would not like me to do. Main ruk nahi paunga".
One round of applause also to Sai, who stood her ground silently, even biting her tongue once when she had the urge to counter Ninad for his scathing attack on Virat. Awwww!đĽ°đ Wasn't it visible that Sai was so upset at the way the entire Makad Sena had begun pouncing on Virat. It reminded me of their wedding ritual scene, where Vitthal Mane came and began talking "bakwaas" to Virat's face. She was actually so disgusted with everyone's silence about the way Mane was speaking of Virat and the relief and pride she felt when he gave Mane that smack in the face. Vicarious loveâ¤ď¸

Today's episode also reminds me of Bhavani's dialogue: "Jaise log paisa Dekh Kar khinche chale aate Hain, waise hi cheetiyan meetha Dekh Kar". True na?
Nahi toh the moment Susheel bahu Patralekha came up and whispered "Money" in your ears, you went into this state of amnesia combined with blindness and deafness.
The money is so important that the chaheeta beta has to set aside everything and go fetch the money which the Susheel bahu does not want because it belongs to someone "jisse main jaanti tak Nahi". But because Bhavani had already heard the key word "money", she couldn't actually hear what PP wanted to say: "jisse main jan na chahti bhi Nahi". Instead, there was Bhavani's attempt to remind PP of the "blended" wajood of husband and wife so that she feels like the 'rightful' stakeholder to the money that is actually being eyed by the family -- the Pati patni Ka wajood dialogue is so ironic too. Does she really believe in it? Obviously not. She's the last person to worry about the 'khushaali' in married lives of people in that house -- Be it Ninad-Ashwini , Mohit-Karishma and now, of course, Virat and Sai.
But chalo, at least for now, it doesn't appear that PP wants the money, as we all have guessed. Her motivation to stay there is only her fixation with 'true love'. But then, she is well aware that Samrat's money is a topic of discussion on the household thanks to Shivani spilling the beans. I am hoping that both Bhavani and PP use each other equally as means and pawns -- in a way, both are aware of each other's motivations. And it would turn Patralekha's character into a caricature if she plays into Bhavani's hands without any plan of her own.
But now, from where she stands, I don't even see her passion for her true love. She's just on the way to bring a jealous woman in the background, who is too in-your-face with her disapproval with predictable reactions. She is fast reducing to bunny boiler [the phrase originates from the 1987 movie Fatal Attraction where the spurned lover (Glenn Close) who boils her lover's (Micheal Doughlas) daughter's pet rabbit in vengeance.] PP seems like just a caricaturish villain, who is going to be in-your-face with her constant taunts at Sai and Virat that will only push them closer. Both Bhavani and PP actually underestimate Virat's protective instinct for Sai. Incidentally, Ninad even mentioned it today how he left Samrat's wedding midway to protect Sai. Perhaps, a couple of incidents of mild physical harm to Sai would ultimately be enough for PP, Bhavani and everyone to see the side of Virat where he will turn into armour for Sai. Again, "Don't you dare even think of bringing her any harm. Main ruk nahi paunga". Just like, he was determined to ensure that PP's barbed jibes would not be able to ruin their special day of Sai's results.

But Chavan saheb, I am a bit disappointed in you. Don't you know your family? If you have to get somewhere in time, why do you dress up at the last minute? đ¤¨You should have been ready at 7am to allow every character in your house to play his part of the drama in that blessed living area-- insult wrestling ring -- of your house. Have they ever understood the meaning of "Main jaldi me hoon, ek zaroori kaam hai?" Kuch jyada hi ummeed nahi rakh li aapne apni Chakram family se?đ
And uss par bhi you wasted a few precious minutes in your enchanted-by-baiko wala frozen moment. Kya ho gaya tha?đ Aaj sunshine colour par dewdrops bhi glimmer kar rahe thay, dekh kar mann machal gaya? Hota hai... hota hai... Waise bhi, suddenly, the blues have disappeared from your room - the decorative stair has turned pristine white all of a sudden. Lagta hai, it is allowing you to decide which colours you'd like to add to your life. How about beginning with candy floss pink? My dew-drop would love it! đđ¤Š
But coming back: How DARE you not consult the chakram egoistic elders of your family before deciding that you and your baiko will eat breakfast outside? And EVEN lunch? I mean, aap bhool gaye kya Chavan saheb, aapke ghar me logon ko breakfast aur lunch naseeb hi kahan hota hai? Dining table par sirf beizzati aur apman time par serve hota hai, wohi khaa kar toh sab jee lete hain and uspar Toxic Didi ke haath ki exotic tea. Bhavanidevi ka fool-proof plan of saving grocery kar kharcha- ensure that drama in one meal ensures that the next is skipped. No wonder you blurted out the truth "Bhookhe rehne so toh accha hai bahar khaana khaa lein". But so sad, you made the arrangements for only baiko and yourself. And your 'true love' is left with one envelope in her hand. Gussa toh aayega hi na? Bahar khaana khana koi admission process ke liye mandatory hota hai kya? Itna toh PP bhi padhi likhi hai. Thank God Bappa, Didi ko abhi tak ye nadiyon wali baatein sunai nahi di... đ Waise, on the sideline, accha laga that she has finally got her own balcony to eat taazi hawa..đ now your baiko can breathe taazi hawa in her own space.
The opposition:
Am I the only one who felt that the opposition being put forth by the entire family is shallow? They don't really have a problem with the fact that Sai wants to study -- their opposition is not based in any rigid mindset for once, but on their egos. Until Omkar spoke about "tumne salah nahi li", the only argument with the elders was about going to Army HQ (haan PP's vital argument was about eating outsideđ) but I did not really see anyone surprised about the two of them going for admissions. It makes me feel a tad bit let down -- it would have been better to see orthodox mentality as a reason but ye toh totally ego battle hai. Especially since Ashwini spoke and Bhavani has resolved to clip Ashwini's wings by using Sai as the pawn. Now, she doesn't know that unknowingly before any other emotion sweeps them over, there is one emotion that has already bound them together: 'Oneness'.
And wait, woman, did you just toss Sai's marksheets into the airđ¨đł? How vile is that!! You have no idea that along with the papers falling to the ground, it is your fall in the eyes of your 'chaheeta beta', who is witnessing one colour at a time of the perfect oil canvass that he thought his family made. đ
And what is the hurry to rush to the Army HQ? Ghar ka ration khatam ho gaya hai kya? Susheel bahu ke oats nahi aaye? Maybe because Kaku thinks ki poorane zamane ke ATM jaise uncollected cash swallow kar lete thay, PP not going to Army HQ immediately will mean paisa disappearing in thin airđ¤? Waise, has the susheel bahu told you that her "main jinhe jaanti bhi nahi" pati has entrusted her with blank cheques? And, btw, what money is this? Is Samrat already presumed dead?
More than that: million dollar Q: Ye kaise chai-haram Mamaji hain, Toxic Didi. Former Army wale hoke bhi aapke saath Army HQ aakar aapki madad nahi kar sakte? Bekaar hi you make such exotic morning tea for them. They are going to leave you on a slab of ice once they receive the instructions from their high command. But that spineless man, who is a shame to the forces-Ninad -- So, police officer beta apni baiko ke admission ke liye chutti le le toh farz ki nazarandaazi but if he excuses from duty to go fetch this money booty of the other son of the house, whom no one cares about because they can't even stand up to see the reason why he must have left the way he did, then it is not duty ki nazarandaazi.
I so wish Sai blows her top after Bhavani's obnoxious tossing of the marksheets into the air. But then a part of me wants her to just gather herself and her marksheets while Virat launches the much-needed assault. You will need that outing to the nadi kinara, today, my dewdrop!
And Chavan Saheb, chin up : Aapke saath Sai toh hai hi, aur Aai bhi hai. Aai se badhkar koi nahi hota.
So this one is for you:
Meri zindagi main teri baarish kya hui
Mere raste darya bane behne lage
Meri karvaton ko tune aake kya chhua
Kahin khwab neendon ki gali rehne lage
With that, I am taking leave.
Sending love, hugs and afternoon coffee âââ your way
Hopefully now, this entire post will be taken up.
And thank you for all your love. It comes as the warmth in the middle of a chilly winter afternoon, where I am! â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
Lots of love to keep you cosy today!
