Merry Christmas girls 🎄. Have a good one 😃.
Yeah reading classics take time. I am stuck on one for months now. I have challenged myself to finish it. Wish me luck!

@Diya and Anam: Whenever I pick up Emma, I am thoroughly entertained. I can only read two or three chapters at a time though. I am 200 pages into it right now and hoping to finish it by January!
Maybe try reading along with the audiobook, Diya! It helps me sometimes.
Oh wow, Anam, I am so glad you loved it. I agree. I was a bit shocked when the twist came but like you said, this story is not about a victim getting justice. It's more focused on her self realisation. She is a tiring character to follow but the ending was the best part of the book, imo. It's not a happy one by any means but it's hopeful. All you can hope for is someday Vanessa will heal (how much ever you can from that sort of an experience).
Maybe I'll give that a try.
Btw, I picked up the first book of the Murderbot Diaries and I am liking it so far.
I usually read at least two books at a time, just to be sure I keep myself engaged. The only time I didn't was when I was reading Harry Potter, but my love for that series was on another level, so didn't need another book alongside it.
You're right, classics can become tedious sometimes. Now that you mention it, I realise I've always read fantasy or mythological fiction alongside the heavier classics. Months...well, that's a little intimidating, but I think I'll still take on the challenge and try to read at least one classic chunker next hear.
I'll pick up that book next year. I'll let you know how I like it for sure!
I won't be reading this month's book. I haven't started it yet and I won't be able to in the few days left. 😔
Its in my to read list!
That's on my the too! I've heard such good reviews about it. How are you liking it?
