Ofcourse audience is moving from ITV. For example my parents who were core viewers of ITV craps are now interestedly shifting to watch OTT content. Saathiya the topper use to get above 7+ and now Anupama gets 3.6 and we call it high trp topper show like in which level ITV has degraded. Star's exCEO Uday Shankar himself said 'Tv will go haywire in future and OTT is the future'. He himself confessed that OTT has much better content than Tv, he also said that tv is highly regulated.

Because, it has become a USUAL TREND OF YOUTH to follow OTT!

So, CREATING A CHANNEL TARGETING THE YOUTH is not really going to make a big difference!

However, the present ITV do consist of a good percentage of pre-teens and teens who are also the future YOUTH!

And for them, more than youth shows, shows PORTRAYING A SIMPLE MIDDLE-CLASS FAMILY SYSTEM, FAMILY VALUES, JOINT FAMILY SYSTEM is something IMPORTANT

Because those are the things the MOST QUESTIONED IN THE PRESENT REAL WORLD!

And it will these pre-teens and teens who will fill the seats of our FUTURE ITV AUDIENCE!

They cant produce 1 good family drama Even after having so many family drama channels then whats the use of having one more family drama channel(star bharat)

Even ott apps content is also mostly abt crime, violence etc

I want yourh channel where they can tackle different social issues which todays youth are facing like body shaming, racism, religion difference, lgbt etc

There is one foreign show named skam (original norway version) which is remaked in 7-8 languages nd i have watched all 6bseasons of skam france where in each season they focus on different social issue by featuring one lead protagoinist nd all leads are present in all 6 seasons but only in their season they gets prime importance each season focus on one particular issue like body shaming, racism , religion indifference, gay relatiinship, lesbian relation ship , cheating in relationship etc

That type show is really needed in itv nd fir that we really need youth channel where todays youth can relate to channel shows

I want a youth channel because

• Want to see some really good high school / college friendship, group friendship shows that are totally missing.

• Realistic romantic stories that we see on youtube channels like tvf, dice media etc based in office background, law background, medical background.

• Some fantastic mystery thriller that wont go around shit politics like netflix and prime. The execution will be like hollywood series shows that run for seasons and audience stay hooked to them. For eg Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries, Legacies, The Originals etc.

• A proper medical drama that focusses on entire team and their daily lives. How they cope up in dealing with their patients.

• Then some unique topics that surely need to knock at tv now. LGBT topics with a mature story telling.

I know we will get them one day but then rating system will have to change only then it will be possible. 😭

We really need shows which focuses on freindship, college, lgbt issues, medical backdrop, various social issues faced by todays youth then shows like mystery thrillers , sitcoms like sarabhai, khichdi etc. Right now Thats what i nedded most

We have in total 7 channels - Starplus, Zee Tv, Colors, Sony, Sab, Star Bharat, &Tv. And out of all these only Sony and Sab are the progressive ones. Even their grps are higher than Colors & Zee. Wonder if ITV sacrifice Star Bharat & &Tv (The lowest grp channels) and bring two intellectual audience targetting channel then we will have 4 progressive channels.

Dangal too joined GEC list and ahead of &TV and SB. Dangal had better original shows but post-lockdown some nonsense shows are brought while 1 good show is not resumed. There too Ekta probably doing politics to increase ratings of her show. Life Ok in their last year had some very good shows but all of them had low TRPs except one bad show by makers from Pinjara where women were tortured and degraded in every episode. That was the only show supposed to continue on SB but channel later changed its mind and ended it too. I saw many fans of that horrible show and yes those fans ranged from teens to youth who were highly educated or even doing jobs. Then came SB with more horrible shows. 2 shows where FL never forgive their abusers and they die in both shows but most shocking thing is in both of these shows the true love that these FL gets were lookalikes of their abusers. How can they show their true love as villains lookalikes who ruined their lives? In reality, its impossible for a woman to love a lookalike of their abuser as it will only cause them pain life long by reminding everything their abusers did. Till 2005-06, Zee too had shows of all themes but now only nonsense shows are shown. Recently a 17 year old actress from a famous Zee show won Best Maa Award while in earlier days girls of her age would win child artist award.
