Are Virat sir, ye kya keh diya apane...?
It took me to the flashback, when during taking the 4 phera, you told Sai, "Mai tumhe vachan to de chuka hun, par koi aur ummid mat rakhana muzse." After which Sai said, "Muze apase koi ummid rakhani bhi nahi hai. Jab mai doctor ban jaungi woh mera apake sath akhari din hoga"
During post wedding ritual, while doing the 'pradkshina' to shankar-parvati, you again said, " aur ek baar yaad dila dun, mera 'farz' tumhari zimmedari nibhane ka hai. That's it. Isake alava mai tumhare liye aur kuchh nahi kar paunga"(Waise balloonsđđđ aur 'Budhhi ke baal' đĄđĄđĄ'farz' mei included hai ya 'aur kuchh mei' ye bhi batahi dijiye)
True. All of that time, Virat was still caught up in the past, and thus, his actions, his words to Sai were all shrouded with his past experience and his promise to Pakhi. He did not at that time even anticipate what the future held for him. Uske mann mein bas Pakhi our usse diya hug woh irrational vada the, and thus, more than anything, he was reiterating all of this to remind himself of the promise that he had made and was bound by.
However, the moment Sai entered his life, there were changes, changes, that would make it difficult and consequently impossible for him and fulfil that promise. An analogy that I am reminded of is the concept of "frustration of contracts" in law, whereby, the promisor is not bound by the terms of the contract in case an event so happens which renders it impossible for him/her to fulfil his part of the contract. Same things are happening here too. The clout of the promise given to his 2-day infatuation which he misappropriated as love, is beginning to lift, as he is slowly understanding what true love actually means.
Waise kitne dino se aap dono ke muh se 'deal' shabd suna nahi to waisebhi hame aap dono ke irado pe shaq hone laga tha.đ Shayad "deal" wali head massage (credit to Janaki) ke bad Saine jab bal dhoye the usme woh 'deal' beh gayi aur apaki 'farz' ' zimmedari' ki definition Sai ko nahane ke baad gile balomei ghumata hua dekhkar badal gai.đ€
Sai ke bina room mei ajeeb lag raha tha, uske baad Sai ka hath pakdkar ,"Mai kaise kahu Sai...ruk jao" itanahi keh paye the aap, lekin aaj to apane 'Zimmedari' ki vyakhya badal ke apana rastahi saaf kar diya. Aaj muze apake IPS topper hone par shaq nahi ho raha. Saap bhi mar gaya aur lathi bhi nahi tuti đȘ±...'Zimmedari' se apane Saiko apana 'Parivaar' hi bana diya.đ€
Sai to bol hi rahi thi apako "lekin aisi kai baatein hai jo apane khul kar nahi maani aur apake aas paas ke log hai woh ye sab mehsus kar sakate hai". To ye to jahir hai ki Sai ki to apake badale badale irade pehelehi pata chal gaye the.
Jaise Sai ko apake 'deal wali massage' se, apake hath pakadake room mei rokane se koi aitraaz nahi tha, waise apake badale hue iraado se koi problem nahi lag rahi. Usane to use apana 'Parivaar' banane ki 'zimmedari' bhi aap par hi saup di. "ye to apako decide karna hai ke mei apaki 'zimmedari' hun ke 'parivar'."Wah..future doctorni wahh..Virat sir ko jis din doctor ban jaogi tab chhod ke janeka irada tumane badal diya lagata hai.
Virat sir, aap wapas puchhlo, shayad ab is nayi vyakhya ke baad woh apake sath akele 'nag' nadi pe ghumane aa jaye..aur aap ek dusare se wahan ek naya vaada kar sake, " Vaada raha sanam..honge juda na hum chahe na chahe ye Pakhi.."
On point. Additionally, one thing that I observed, and I guess others would agree too, is the way the scene Virat asking Sai out was depicted. So, Virat is reminiscing the happy memories from his childhood, on the banks of the river, and almost naturally, asks Sai to join him for a trip to the place. This is coming direct from his heart, no manipulation, no thinking before speaking. He just wanted to share that moment with her. However, the moment the words are out of his mouth and he sees Sai's expressions, he realises something and at once tries to put his statement in a context: Something like "tumhaare Aaba bhi tumhe sheher ghumana chahte the." He shifts the conversation, from HIM WANTING to go out with Sai to Nag river and relive those beautiful memories of the childhood, to a more, IDK, politically correct one, that of a city-tour for Sai, as her father would have wanted.
Looked at carefully, this slip in Virat's character is an insight into his heart, showing how he has come to have an affinity towards the girl, something which is clearly and definitely more than just a responsibility. Responsibility and zimmedari toh bas ab ek bahana hai. Virat, unknowingly is drifting towards her, and it's only time before he realties that too.
Kya kehate ho?
