I have mixed feelings about the Sairat scene today. It felt as if Virat was chatting with a favourite neice. I think they cld have showed the camaraderie & support without making Sai out to be so childlike.
Also the scene was too light. Sai couldnt have been reminiscing about her father so casually & tearlessly - as if he had died years ago (when grief turns to sweet nostalgia), instead of barely 3-4 weeks ago (when it is normal to get teary at almost every mention).
I hope no one is ever looking at their niece like that....Also I think it's a good change of pace for Virat. The whole family is constantly tense and angry, way before Sai came into the picture. He's usually so serious, and constantly watches his dad and mom make snide remarks to each other.
Yet with Sai he's constantly happy. I do agree though, Sai was very much showing childlike enthusiasm... why is this considered a bad thing? She's only 18 (this is my biggest confusion: how old is Virat exactly?) and her enthusiasm for managing to get closer to fulfilling her dad's dreams makes sense. Apart from jumping in excitement, there wasn't much childishness I saw, they were just two people laughing and talking
Jumping around + wearing the cap & playacting + buddi ke baal + pick one finger = rubbing it in that she is still a kid. One or two indications wld have been enough. Took all the chemistry out of that scene.
Then suddenly the director realised oops Virat is beginning to look like Sai’s uncle so he says ‘expression change pls’ & we got that last intense starring expression fm Virat.
Mazaa nahin aaya. Hoping for better today.

@Bold- 🤣 Seriously though, that last look he was giving sai at the end of the episode.... no decent uncle looks at their niece like that 😆 Virat looked mesmerised by her.
I kinda loved the episode.
1. Loved the way Virat looks at Sai when Kaku and team complains about she insulting P's dad.
2. He was so confident of Sai and said she can never insult them.
3. He made it clear because of her P has come back.
4. He wants his family to treat her well and hence doing all efforts
5. The way he was so curious and happy to see Thai and Sai bonding and jumped inbetween when his dad was scolding Sai
6. The way he looked at Sai when Karishma says somethig about the Tarbuj colors.. Looked like they both trying to see each other and understand what other thinks?
Loved the bonding between Ashwini and Sai.
and i was happy that Sai knows Virat can never hurt anyone and she knew he would/will never hit her
After previous episode and danda, i wanted a conversation between them about this, but this helped. Got to know what Sai thinks about Virat Sir. :)
About P and Virat, i would rather skip. Or wait, i think there is no feeling Virat has for Pakhi now. All he has is a bit empathy. Knowing virat can never hurt nor see anyone in pain, he is just trying to make sure Pakhi is happy. I guess he has moved on and P is just a friend for him and NOTHING ELSE.
And he is partially true, when he says he isnt sure if he is impressed with Sai.
He didnt deny it but he didnt agree either. but am sure he is impressed with Sai.
the SaiRat scenes were very cute and Virat being himself with her. No much thinking before he speaks to her. He can speak his mind, and thats the main think. And the last look.. not sure if that means he feels happy seeing her happy or if he is getting attracted. Both ways am happy with it
His smile spreads so much of light and positivity. There is this undeniable aurra when he smiles.😊

That is fine if that is your opinion 😃 Personally I would change the way of viewing this scene from a "chemistry"/romantic scene, to a "they're getting to know each other and becoming friends" scene. It is how I saw it and I think it helps in understanding the way the scene plays out. Also, I still don't think I've ever seen an uncle look at their niece the way he did, not just the last gaze but from the moment he entered the room.
In some ways, I feel like it's needed for Virat to also get some freedom from the stiffness he's been surrounded by. It's fine to live life by putting your "farz" and "vaadas" first, but the more we hear about this family, the more I realize the elders just used these words to make Virat (and others) do whatever they wanted.
Sai will mature, but first, Virat should realize that maturity is not about behaving "sanskaari" and following elders every order. Sai has a maturity about her in the sense of standing up for others when things are wrong, and caring for others pain without putting her own needs last. If only this final point could be more thought of because far too many of these indian shows show us how the ideal bahu will let her own self-respect drain down the tube/let go of her every dream to be a good bahu.
