I believe you misssed the point here regarding Sai: if a girl speaks for herself, stands up for herself, doesn't do what she doesn't believe is right and/or speaks up against it, or doesn't tolerate abusive in-laws and their taunts is considered badtameez in our society.

You belong to this society and I can't say much but feel bad for you for being a woman and not seeing what has become of women...

I believe Sai 's character is picking up on discrimination injustice and teaching people of this society that it is wrong.

So please do see this series for the reasons you list but while doing so also understand what has become norm and how this needs to change. And how women need to first understand this more than anyone else...
