Chapter 11

It has been two days since everyone had lied to Ridhima her being infertile due to the fight she had with Aliza. It has been two days where she didn't come out of her room either anyone disturbed her. However, Sher is the one who saw her at the rail of the balcony and rushed to stand her side.

"Ridhima,"

says Sher

"I saw a dream"

replies Ridhima

"Is it a nice one?"

asks Sher

"Those demons crawled again under my blanket and they joined me in bed, they sang me a song of sorrows, wars, and all those flashbacks damaged the peace of my head. But last night; I was deaf, So damn numb that none of them could affect me, none of them could bring me any kind of nightmares nor regrets. I had nothing to lose, had nothing to defend. So we hugged and travelled together through a world we only both enjoyed; a world of nothingness and creepy emptiness"

says Ridhima with a sad smile playing on her lips

"Who are those demons, Ridhima?"

asks Sher

“It's like being numb most of the time,”

she tried to explain, tried to calm herself down by putting words to feelings.

“Everything feels grey, but when I do feel something, it's like I feel it more than most people and it hurts—it hurts me, personally, like the pain was made for me in mind. And suddenly—numb doesn't feel so bad,”

says Ridhima while lost in the waves of the ocean

"Who are those demons, making you feeling so numb, Ridhima?"

once again Sher asks

“Let me tell you a little bit about demons. They love pain and other people’s misery. They lie when it suits them and don’t see anything wrong with it. They corrupt and kill and destroy, all without conscience. They just don’t have the capacity for something as honourable as loving another person"

says Ridhima with hatred oozing from her eyes.

"And who are those demons, Ridhima?"

questions, Sher painfully

"You want to know the names, Sher?"

replies Ridhima

"Yes,"

says Sher with trembling voice

Ridhima chuckles and says,

"I never thought I would hear the trembling voice of Sher."

Sher turns towards her side while pulling her to his side and stare at those eyes which are dead now. No emotions, nothing! She is dead. Yes, today they had killed her soul. He wants to shout and says, it was all a lie, yet, he cannot.

Ridhima stares at Sher for more than 20 minutes and she hugs him. He doesn't know whether he has the right to hug her back or not, so he stands while she tightens the hold on him.

"I want to kill you, Sher,"

says Ridhima.

"Sher: If that is what you want, I won't stop you

Ridhima: Howbeit, I'm unable to kill you?

Sher: Shall I kill myself?

Ridhima: No

Sher: Then you need to pull that knife which you're holding and stab me Ridhima

Ridhima comes out of the hug and looks at him with those dead eyes. Sher caresses her head and sighs,

"You're too good for this world, Ridhima"

Sher: I don't know what to do with you?

Ridhima: Can you train me?

Sher: Ah!

Ridhima: I want you to train me, Sher."

“The worst type of crying wasn't the kind everyone could see--the wailing on street corners, the tearing at clothes. says King to Aliza sat beside him.

“I know that pain is the most important thing in the universes. Greater than survival, greater than love, greater even than the beauty it brings about. For without pain, there can be no pleasure. Without sadness, there can be no happiness. Without misery, there can be no beauty. And without these, life is endless, hopeless, doomed and damned.

Adult. Riddhu has become an adult.”

says King turning towards Aliza with a smirk on his face.

"We need to celebrate her turning into an adult. Now go and arrange a party"

says Lord beaming with happiness raging Aliza

Aliza unable to control herself jumps on to the King but with one motion he kicks her and she falls hitting to the wall and one can hear the sound of her broken ribs. Picking the red wine on the table, he walks near Aliza and touches her blood,

"I'm happy Lizzy. You stood with her. But trying to harm me for her, will have its consequences."

Aliza tries to get up but King punches her again,

"Never do this Lizzy, I hate if someone loves her more than me,"

says King leaving Aliza in a confused state.

"Now come here and hit me with the hunter until you see me bleeding like the ocean,"

says King shocking to Aliza.

"Lord, I..."

King cuts Aliza in the middle and says,

"If you don't hit me now, I will hit Riddhu"

making her pick up the hunter and started beating him.

It has been more than two hours Aliza is beating him, what she didn't expect is for him to stand so much time in the same posture. Blood is oozing out from every nerve yet this man didn't bend down his knees neither said Uff.

As per the King's order party has been organized while all the team is present, none has the mood to celebrate the party. They are confused with the way Badshaah is behaving with Ridhima. They have no idea what sort of relationship he shares with her but day by day it is becoming unbearable for them to see her in the pain. Sher notices Aliza sitting aside at the corner and walks towards her,

"I'm going to train Ridhima from tomorrow, Aliza"

Sher says.

Aliza smiles sadly,

"I know,"

she says while drinking the alcohol from the bottle.

"I lost a friend even before the friendship starts, Sher,"

says Aliza by hugging the wine bottle close to herself.

"She will come around, give her some time,"

Sher says while caressing her head

"You've changed, Sher,"

says Aliza while leaving Sher with the rest of the team who reached to check on Aliza.

While Aliza tries to leave the party, suddenly lights get dimmed and the spotlight falls on Ridhima who is descending from the stairs in shimmer green dress.

"She is looking damn sexy,"

says Tarzan while receives a glare from Sher.

"I don't know that Ridhima likes to wear such outfits,"

says Richie who has done a background check on her

Ridhima reaches to Aliza while the later eyes were downcasted with guilt. Ridhima hugs Aliza,

"I'm hurt Aliza, deeply hurt and maybe beyond repair. However, I don't have any negative feelings for you because you never thought to hurt me. You were high on your emotions, so you did it. Once I was also high on my emotions and lost so much. So, no hard feelings but yes, I won't forgive you soon. Sher is going to train from tomorrow and very soon I will beat you black and blue"

says Ridhima with a side smile playing on her lips.

All the four were hurt and don't know what to confess. How come they said whatever Aliza did is because King has ordered them not that she is high on emotions. Seeing such a pure soul standing before them, they have no idea how they can make her a cruel person like them. It's like killing her soul which they don't want to.

Looking at their faces Ridhima guesses what they are thinking,

"I know, to be in Mafia one need to be dead. The person shouldn't have any soul left in them. But as I said before, I'm going to play with my heart. I might be an emotional fool, I don't care. I have not always chosen the safest path. I've made my mistakes, plenty of them. I sometimes jump too soon and fail to appreciate the consequences. But I've learned something important along the way: I've learned to heed the call of my heart. I've learned that the safest path is not always the best path and I've learned that the voice of fear is not always to be trusted. So please do guide me"

says Ridhima making them feel more guilt

She can see their guilt faces and comes with an idea,

"Okay, here is the punishment for you guys for hurting me,"

says Ridhima while making others look at her with an enthusiastic smile on their face

Ridhima chuckles seeing their faces, she never seen someone interested to take the punishments. She takes a step forward,

"See, the punishment is, from today onwards we will eat together, play together and discuss everything. I know I'm new to this but you guys by now have understood I'm a girl who tries to burn myself in fire knowing that I will burn myself. Therefore, join me in every conversation no matter how big a secret it is! Now, are you guys ready for the punishment?"

questions Ridhima

All the four has looked at each other faces. What kind of punishment is this? They thought she would be hitting them with a hunter or shoot us but this? Tarzan is the first one to hug Ridhima while the rest were part of it. Sher smiled seeing everyone and hugs them but he senses a gaze from the top floor; Though he is unable to see the person he knows that floor belongs to Badshah and his gaze is not on all, it is focused on Ridhima.

VR Mansion: -

Professor Malik is at the doorstep of VR Mansion. He sees the house and feels this is the house which has hurt Ridhima to the core and yet he is here because Badshaah has told him to treat Sia. He never understands this man, why does he want him to help the people who have hurt Ridhima? What is this plan behind this? While he lost in his thoughts Vansh comes down and look at the man who is in his thoughts.

Vansh: Hello Mr Malik

Malik who comes out his thoughts looks at Vansh and nods his head,

"Hello, Mr Rai Singhania, where is the patient?"

Vansh smirks,

"Right towards the patient, on the point Dr Malik,"

says Vansh raising his eyebrows

"Did you called me to be a guest in your house? I'm here to treat the patient, so why to waste the time?"

says Dr Malik with the same smirk making Vansh take back

"I heard you know the King?"

asks Vansh

"If I'm here to answer the King for you, then I never saw him. Second, the moment I start to say something, I don't think VR Mansion will be safe. It might explode and this time, it can be one of your family members"

warns Dr Malik making Vansh bubble in anger.

Malik enters the room and checks all the reports of Sia with a smile on his face leaving the rest of the family in confusion.

"What's there to smile seeing the reports, Dr Malik?"

asks Vansh with a pinch of anger evident in his voice

"Well, looks like the previous doctor had taken good care of your sister, Mr Vansh. I must say whoever the doctor is treated Ms Sia to an extent where she doesn't need me at all"

says Dr Malik by surprising Vansh and the family.

"Whoever treated her before you are small a physiotherapist. Dadi has trusted her more than other doctors in the world"

says Ishani with sarcasm dripping from her mouth.

"Well, some physiotherapists are better than neuro-surgeons because physiotherapists know about every nerve of the human body. So they can cure coma patients much better than neurosurgeons"

says Dr Malik

(Here I'm taking creative liberty friends. Doctor and medicine students sorry if I offended anyone)

"So are you saying you're incompetent in treating my sister Dr Malik?"

asks Vansh

Dr Malik smirks,

"If you want me to treat your sister then give respect to Mr Vansh. As a doctor, I'm appreciating my colleague doctor so whether you like or don't like, you need to be habituated to it,"

says Malik with sassiness earning a glare from Vansh.

"Fine"

Vansh says

"I will treat from today and I can say in coming a month or so she will be fine,"

says Dr Malik

"I want her to be treated by end of the month, as we are going to step on the cruise,"

says Vansh

"Then, I have my student working on the King's team. I know she only treats his team and all. But yes I can put a word to her and King too, I think my student will help your sister to cure my soon"

says Dr Malik.

"I don't think King will appreciate his team member helping my sister,"

says Vansh

"Then, it's your loss. Your sister cannot wake in one month. True that she has improved a lot, but a minimum of 2 months is important. So yes, I will treat her until I'm here, the rest can be taken over by my student or King's member"

says Dr Malik

"Try to do what you can Dr Malik, rest I will decide when the time comes"

declares Vansh leaving Dr Malik in chuckles

On the cruise

Sher has been ready with his outfit and he never trained ever. Aliza did her training initially with Tarzan and Richie but he never did. Yes, he used to get into combat with Badshaah but in recent times he never had a student and Ridhima is going to his first student.

Ridhima has entered into the wing and stood against the Sher. Sher told her to take the defence position while she takes,

"Ridhima, I'm going to hit you very hard in the stomach part because enemy aims first for it. So try to be as stiff as possible and maintain it. I will control my power accordingly."

says Sher

Sher takes the first strike on her while Ridhima doesn't feel any pain at all. Sher also saw her expressions doesn't change which surprised him. He gives another punch which she serves alright by taking a few steps back. Ridhima stops him by touch the place where he has punched her.

"Ridhima what happened?"

asks Sher with worried fill face

"I'm not able to feel any pain while you were punching me, Sher,"

says Ridhima with a worried face

"What?"

says Sher

"Yes, punch me again"

ask Ridhima to which he does and she still unable to feel the pain. To check herself she takes the knife beside and cuts her hand, though the blood is oozing from her nerves, she unable to feel the pain. Sher got rooted in his place while Ridhima fall on her knees said and laughs hardly saying,

"Now, I have Congenital insensitivity to pain and anhydrosis (CIPA)."

"What is that?"

asks Sher kneeling before her

"No matter what happens, I cannot feel pain. I'm numb, Sher"

says Ridhima with maniac laugh scaring Sher to the death.
