I think it bothers Sai a lot that he married her even though he has stated that he cannot give her the rights of a wife and that he wont openly acknowledge that he loves paakhi and keeps referring to her as best friend! Its a little ridiculous.

Also i wouldn't be surprised if apart from her aspiration of becoming a doctor she also aspired for a love marriage and a partner who had her dad's ideals....she has found someone similar in virat. But problem is he only sees her as a responsibility and that definitely irks her. But she didnt really get too much choice. She has no family left, even pre-virat, she intended on moving to nagpur so marrying him is her ticket out of the village and on the path to achieving her dreams. Since her father held virat in such regard and everyone around pushed her, she eventually agreed to a contract. I dont think as an 18 year old she could have given much thought to the fact that marriage cannot just be a contract especially when she is stuck in this large joint family with far too much drama !

I would love to see a track where sai goes to hostel and asks to end their contract. and virat is forced to admit that he has feelings for her and therefore needs to bring her home.

I feel I have not written what I meant correctly- what I mean is I will have NO expectations from him, that is I cannot even think that he will stand by me and whether he is truthful and all that. I have NO expectations from his side, my part is just getting my hopes and dreams fulfilled, the minute expectations arise from him, I should leave.

But in all reality, it is stupid for us girls to think that we need men or marriage to fulfill our destiny. I am a bit of a romantic but I have to agree with poster who said rather marry a farmer or someone else than marry someone like this. So much baggage and dude what’s with that family?!?>

If you still see yourself spending the rest of your life with someone like Virat, then I would love to know your reasoning behind it.

No. I would never want to knowingly marry someone with a dilemma which will only lead to a lifetime of pain and suffering.

I have friends who married right after college (to their gf/bf) but divorced in the next 3-5 years. You really don't know the person until you have actually lived with them for few months/ years, we also understand ourselves better at that point.

Also if I know about this nautanki joint family, then no f*cking way. Most Guys in joint family are too pampered, never have to adjust their existing life after marriage, but for educated girls from nuclear families, its a huge lifestyle change that we can't even think of. I have a friend stuck in this kind of life and I totally feel for her. She gave up their career to make rotis and is always answerable to everyone in the house.

If it was any developed country, I would say there are many options other than marriage to come out of a situation where Sai is (given that she had no family, money or protection and no one wanted her responsibility).

But in Indian society, marriage is solution to everything. The situation Sai is, might be very common in in villages/ small towns where relatives, society pressurize the people into a marriage they don't want with dialogues like baad me sab teek ho jayega attitude, hum tumhari balai ke liye kar rahe hain etc.

Not only that - he is soooo lost in pakhi, never tried to find samrat where about... while he was home on leave...

He claims to love his brother... did he even question/clarify/inform family ... why samrat canceled his leave and went on duty...next day of wedding..

. (everyone is still thinking there best friends, except sai and ashwini... and karishma (I like her for that sometimes... she is informing important things to famiy... for wrong intent though...))

Even pakhi mentioned that samrat came to know about her and virat ... he has no guilt...

or not clarifying to that PP ... that he is not interested in ema with her... and cheat his brother...
