Its my theory, not sure, but like I wrote in my recent drabble, she didnt expect him to extend the relationship, or maybe she didnt want to, because she is scared she will start expecting more from it. She has just lost the only family she was left with and doesnt feel its safe to attach to someone else, someone who has promised to leave her when the time comes, so she is scared of the attachment and the truck load of emotions it will bring for her (and him)

My take was that maybe she was reminded of her Aaba, her best friend, parent and the strongest policeman who protected her in the tough and rough. Subconsciously giving that place to Virat..

When sai fake smiled/ cried I took it as if she was hurt at that time.virat never asked her to be his friend and always saw her as farz and his responsibility.

I mean she also says " Ha sirf farz hi hu na Mai toh aapke liye " just before this scene I guess.

Maybe she might be thinking just because she praised virat in front of DIG he's asking her to be his friend now?? Or like he misunderstood her earlier?

I might be completely wrong though.😆

Whatever it is..it was super confusing😔
