Apni izzat apni haath mein hoti hai - Subtle, yet powerful

Though today's episode was just amazing, there was one scene, or rather, one dialogue that took the cake for me. It was the dialogue that Sai utters in the end to Pakhi... "Apni izzat apni haath mein hoti hai, oonchi awaz karke kbhi bhi kuch aisa nahi bolna chahiye, jisse dusron ke saamne khud ke hi nazrein jhuk jaaye." This was such a subtle, yet powerful dialogue that spoke volumes about the situation that the characters are in. Hats off to the scriptwriter for giving us this powerful dialogue.

Though this entire scene was brilliantly executed, be it by the actors or the writing, this one dialogue just stood out for me. And it gave me a new insight into Sai's character.

In the war of words between Pakhi and Sai, Pakhi always seems to have the upper hand in terms of support, because Virat blindly supports Pakhi in the name of being her best friend, and rest of the family members, well, I don't have comment on this.

But, one thing that Pakhi doesn't seem to realise is that one fine day, Pakhi's words and her behaviour will reflect badly on her. Whatever venomous words Pakhi spews on Sai does not cause any damage to Sai, but it does cause a lot of damage to Pakhi herself, maybe not immediately, but slowly and steadily it is. And Sai knows this.

From this dialogue, I also got a feeling that though Sai is irritated to no ends with Pakhi, she's also trying to sympathise with her. The very fact that Sai said to Pakhi shows that Sai wants Pakhi to keep her self-respect and dignity intact, and not let it go for some misplaced sense of victory. This dialogue was not meant to be an insult, it was more of a caution, from one woman to another. Though Pakhi may not realise this now, she will, soon enough.

What do you guys think about this? Do I resonate with you guys or am I just reading too much into it😆?

Let me know what you guys feel.

Love,

Excellent post. I noticed it. It was woman to woman ....Virat too noticed what she said and registered the subtle meaning.

Loved the dialogue! You're right, Sai is giving Pakhi all the cues and the easy ways out to ensure she doesn't trip herself up! Pakhi is unable to see these and getting herself further in the mire. When the tide turns, the muck is going to fly back at her.

I also found it interesting that the words she used against Sai today are everything Virat used. Badtameezi, haddh etc....she's cleverly just perpetuating the same phrases....as you keep saying things over and over, they will believe it to be true. Rule 1 of propoganda.

Virat babu....aap hi so Jao...na rahega central conflict...na hogi raat ki chit chat.

Nice post NiyađŸ‘đŸŒ I agree with you

Slowly Sai is understanding what Pakhi is going through. Sai can see that Pakhi has not moved on & accepted the fact that samrat is her husband. She wants her to accept the reality and face it. Sachh humesha kadva hota hai. It takes time for some people to accept the truth. Pakhi is not that matured by the way 😆

I really hope that Pakhi does realise her mistake sooner than later. I don't want her turning negative.

And Sai's dialogue was literally EVERYTHING!

Totally. And I loved the fact that Virat too sensed that Sai doesn't mean to anything harmful or hurtful to Pakhi. Instead, in her own way, she was trying to caution her on her behaviour.

@bold - Yes!! She repeats the same words that Virat used against her to make it seem like they're on the same page. And since Virat actually considers Pakhi mature and Sai immature, it would be a child's play to convince Virat that Sai is wrong for him.

Though Sai comes off as rude and OTT at times, she is also very empathetic of people. She's very good at reading situations as well as people. Sai actually doesn't consider Pakhi her enemy. She doesn't consider Pakhi a friend either, but she doesn't hate her. She's just wary of her, and the way Virat keeps trying to involve Pakhi in her life.
