It's interesting that though male actors from Marathi films act in web series or TV shows, we get to see very many female actors. For instance, SB, Swapnil, Gashmeer are there but where are Sonalis, Sai and Mukta.

None taken....though TV is a visual medium, we have to be cognizant of the fact that beauty and talent come in all sizes and colors.

Well gashmeer is superhot , i saw him 1st time In anjaan series on netflix .

maybe girls hv to do lot of skin show or intimate scenes that they may notbe comfortable wt..guys dont mind it i guess

I like the marathi girl mithilaPalkar very much...she is in hindi/ english shows quite frequently ..she is khup khup goad , wish i had a daughter like her

This needs to be hammered.

I really applaud colours for giving a prime time slot n supporting a story like smmb.

Plus casting a fine new actress n not some already famous actress with a little fat here n there.

About time the stereotype of skinny, fair, lighteyed female lead is broken.

Women are not always skinny, they'll be of any colour, shape and size. They'll not be lighteyed all the fricking time.

And when we actually cast such women as leads, it opens many doors.

Also the treatment given to these characters in smmb. She's never shown like a bechari fat lady. So dignified and independent. Never a cry baby. Brave, which is a welcome change.

We need more heroines who represent the real women, who are messy, raw and unfiltered. Who don't have the perfect skin,body, hair and makeup all the time.

Maybe that will take some time. But this casting is a small step.

And I genuinely like Akshaya Naik. Her Instagram is nice. What she writes seems simple and relatable. I particularly liked what she posted about importance of language and English speaking.

No idea if this is a copy or not. I hope not. CM has a good show on that theme with an excellent female lead and cast.

Mishkil, the post you did was " Evdhi jaadi heroine" which seemed like you are mocking her body. That's why we reacted the way we did.

I think we should stop assuming any show with a fat female lead as a copy of dlkh because there are many more stories which can be told.

This one seems like a comedy, the zm show.
