I actually liked that he said it. It means he's not as bewakoof as we thought. He knows that keeping a promise is possible only when it is two ways. I want him to obviously apply this reality to the vaada with mature cereal eating best friends. Hopefully at some point, she reads between the lines and sees that he will exit if it transcends the decorum of the spirit of the agreement.

Also a part of me wants him to definitely do this for his relationship with Sai. I want him to have a relationship with Sai only because he wants to (and ofcourse if she wants to as well) and not because of a misguided sense of duty, responsibility or promises to someone (even if it was Kamal). I want him to build his own "promises" or vows to Sai that is based on common trust, love, respect and a genuine desire to be with one and another.
