I was reading all the posts on the forum yesterday and was actually dreading watching the episode. I did get around to watching it at night and this may be an unpopular opinion, but more than Sai, Virat was relatable yesterday. Pakhi, as always, was annoying but I really didn't get angry with Virat's outburst. Yes yes, he's supposed to be calm and composed and he handles tough situations with ease but handling a ritual at home and being told disturbing news about your career are two very different things.
Was he wrong in throwing away the food? Absolutely. But have we all not done something like this when we are very angry? I was with Sai when she said "ann ka apmaan". He shouldn't have done this but I'm sorry, Sai was really not helping matters. She was making no sense when she connected Virat and Sunny's phone call with Virat and Pakhi.
Chaukidar Pakhi came bhagti bhagti and mauka dekhkar chauka marofied. I doubt if she really wnated to be there for him and listen to him. Her intention was to degrade Sai and try and gain a few brownie points with Virat. She even added fuel to the aag with her whole "jis aag se bachana chahate the" dialogue.
The last scene of the episode with the pyaari cheez and farz was PUKEWORTHY but technically, he didn't let go of his PYAARI CHEEZ for FARZ. He let her go for Samrat so I'm not sure I understood.
My point is- Virat said and did some hurtful things but in all fairness, he was handed a blow and I am not sure I would've reacted differently. Moreover, he always bottles up his feelings so this sort of an outburst was due to happen.
Lastly, I think Neil did especially well yesterday. We've seen three versions of Virat so far. Calm, forlorn and badass ACP. The angry version is new. He was scared about his future and I think it translated on screen very well.
