Very much possible , uska aur ek reason hai how makers have suddenly shifted focus to just R and V in the montage .

Whatever be the reason Kabz is one of the leads and the makers will keep him in the picture until his chapter is fully closed .

Also like you said boss will misdirect us thinking he has joined hands with Kabz at some point so maybe this could be that opportunity.

Boss will take his dhoke ka badla with Ridz but he’s giving her the benefit of doubt
