Chapter 4

VR Mansion: -

There comes a time when every man needs to make a choice, whether it's a professional choice or whether it's a personal choice. In the end, it's about integrity, and it's about chasing after what you want, even if that means showing you care a little. And sometimes... well, sometimes you just have to do what's right for your family & friends, even if it means sacrificing your happiness. When it comes down to it, you just have to be proud of the decision you make.

Vansh Rai Singhania is going to make an announcement which would certainly raise the eyebrows of his family including his most trusted man Angre. He never thought he would take such a decision. However, he knows how hard it is for him to get on to this conclusion.

When it is for the sake of the family, he never backs down. He will do anything in his hands to safeguard them. Vansh reaches the breakfast table where he sees his whole family sat quietly and having whatever is on their plate. He can sense a lot since he threw Ridhima out of this house. He doesn't understand one thing that they were happy when she was unknown to them when she was part of the family every person on this table tried to harm her. Now, when she is not part of this house, why everyone is behaving as if they lost someone dear to them. With his baritone, he questions all, "Why you'll are sad about Ridhima?"

The name "Ridhima" has reached everyone's ears. After a whole week, they are hearing her name from his mouth. Dadi is the first one to look up to Vansh while she saw everyone faces on the table. With a tight smile on her lips, she says, "I've lived so long in imaginary worlds, I think I've lost sight of what is real, of what is true. So, I'm like this, Vansh. I cannot answer anymore for others."

He knows what Dadi meant, she lost trust in everything and even her Vansh. This reaction of Dadi is something he never expected. When she knows Ridhima is the one who has betrayed them, yet, still being like this "You know Dadi, whatever I do, I do this family. I have thrown Ridhima out of this house for the sake of the family."

Dadi smiles sadly and says, "Family, which one are you talking about, Vansh? Everyone on the table has harmed her in a very bad way whenever they got the chance. Anupriya tried to kill her with poison. Infact, it is her son who sent Ridhima to hurt you. Yet, that girl saved you from taking the bullet. Chanchal and Aryan want to burn her on the day of the Dasara. Ishani has locked her in the burning coal room. Over and above, it is you who has hurt her the most. Being beside her as Vihaan, yet you never saw what real Ridhima is.

I must say this Vansh that, you didn't understand that girl as Vansh either Vihaan. I'm sad that she is no more part of this family, however, happy that she left you. You and Ridhima both committed lots of mistakes. The root cause of your relationship is communication and trust. You both never shared anything and assumed whatever you saw and read. Once, keeping ego aside would have spoken, then neither of this would have happened. Leave Ridhima, she was sent into this house by saying you are a monster. However, you know what you are, so why didn't you ever tell her? When you know she kidnapped Ragini, you could have spoken with her Vansh, why? All are catalysts here for the cause of Sia. However, you got Ridhima as a scapegoat and blamed everything on that girl."

Dadi breaths heavily, while she is going to fall back on the chair, Vansh tries to catch her. She pushes his hands while Angre is the one who catches her and gives some water to calm herself.

Everyone looks at Vansh back again, while two people are missing from that table and that is Anupriya and Kabir. Vansh informs Angre to call them and join the table which angers the rest of the family. Rudr is the first one to spoke about this and he says, "I agree, we are wrong Vansh. However, knowing what Kabir is capable of, keeping him in the house is something we are not looking forward to. Also, Anupriya..."

Vansh: Bhabi

Rudr: What?

Vansh: Chachu, I understand everything. Everyone's emotions. But don't forget it is the mom who saved Sia. She never harmed anyone in the family. Yes, on Ridhima case, leave that person and whatever belonged to her outside this mansion. Well, regarding Kabir, I will announce at once when Angre brings them.

Kabir and Anupriya reach with Angre near the table and Vansh along with others reach to the main hall to discuss. While Vansh takes a step towards Kabir and says, "So Kabir, you always felt I'm the one who has taken everything from you? Now, what is that I have taken from you? I know I'm right, yet, asking you that this, the whole property belongs to our family. You are not a Rai Singhania my birth. Second, mom said someone had kidnapped when you were a child. We didn't do that. Third, the only thing you lost is your mother's love. Now, if you like you can take Mom away from this house and live with her somewhere. Over and above, nothing belongs to you, Kabir."

Though the rest of the family members were happy, however, Dadi is the one who raised a question, "you have thrown Ridhima out of the house because she tried to harm Sia. This Kabir tried to harm every one of us. Yet, you are asking him to leave the house with Anupriya?"

Vansh: What is that you want me to do, Dadi? Shall I kill him now and here for you?

Vansh takes a step towards Kabir while Kabir takes a step backwards-facing Dadi and looking at her for the answer she gives. However, Anupriya reaches first and catches hold of her hands and says, "Maa, please. Don't do this. Whatever he did was his job. But now he changed, Maa. Please, give him another chance."

Dadi removes her hands from Anupriya and says, "A chance? What for? Understood, whatever he did is his job? Then, when he came to this house as a brother of everyone why did he mix poison in the water? Tell me Anupriya? If he wanted to love and be a brother to them, does he do that? Now, you don't have an answer for it, right?"

Anupriya: Even Aryan was part of the plan? Why only blame Kabir in this

Chanchal: Didi, please, don't drag Aryan into this. It is Kabir who blackmailed Aryan saying he will send him behind bars if he doesn't support him. We are nothing before your son.

Dadi: Enough! Not a word anymore. At this age, If you guys don't give happiness, is okay with me. However, don't blame each other because every single person present over here is at fault. Everyone is blaming Ridhima here, howbeit, I would thank that girl because, due to her, I can see who what are.

Dadi leaves the place while Vansh looks at Kabir and asks him to say what he has decided. Angre is in the puzzling situation because this is not what Vansh has told him last night. Kabir knows he is in a tight situation now, whatever he says might backfire, so, without waiting for a second, he says, "I will leave the house. However, let mom stay here. She is more attached to each one of you. I will speak with her on phone and meet her sometimes outside the house."

Vansh: No, Kabir. If you move away from the house, you cannot meet her and cannot call her again

Kabir is shocked to see such a statement from him. Anupriya reaches to Vansh and says, "Please Vansh, don't do that. I need you as much as I need Kabir. Please. At least, allow me time to speak with him on the phone."

Vansh: Sorry mom. Nothing is possible. If he leaves the house, then he cuts all his ties with you. However, if he wishes to stay, then I can reconsider

Now, that's a jolt for everyone present in the house. "Did he said Kabir to stay in this house? Did they hear properly?"

Kabir: What do you mean?

Vansh: I mean what I said. If you would like to live in the house, then I can reconsider

Kabir: Why are you doing this to me? You know what I did, yet saying I can stay? What is that you are going to get Mr Vansh Rai Singhania.

Vansh: Something you never understand Kabir. Remember, I told you once, never think so much. You cannot reach my level. So, if you like this offer, there are few things which you need to follow.

Kabir doesn't know what to do. If he leaves, he knows Vansh will make sure keep tabs on him. He even might put a transmitter on the phone and try to learn what he and mom are speaking. If he lives in the house, then what he is going to do? Whatever, if he wants a fight with him, then he is ready to give it and with that determination look he says, 'Done. I will live in the house. Now, what are those conditions?"

Vansh: Uff Kabir, your overconfidence will kill you one day. You should have heard me and then would have said yes for this. Now as you agreed, listen to me carefully Kabir, you are not part of this property. You will be calling Mom as Ma'am outside the premises. I don't want someone to point out Mom's character in society. Third and final, you need to obey everything I say. You will be working under me. Does sound clear

Whatever Vansh declared doesn't sound anything major for him neither to his family people. All are looking up to him, what kind of lame conditions is this? Angre is the only one who understood what game Vansh is going to play and kept his rock face.

Kabir felt something is fishy in the whole deal but, for now, apart from saying yes to Vansh, he cannot do anything, as he doesn't want to leave the VR Mansion and he goes with saying, "I agree for everything you said, Vansh."

Vansh smirks at Kabir and leaves from the place while leaving everyone enraged with his decision and Dadi in more tears who has heard everything from her the corner.

Ridhima is lost in her thoughts about the decision she has taken to join the Mafia Emperor team. Even after working with him for the 20 years, if Professor didn't saw him and met him once, then will she able to ever meet him? Over and above, who is his team that they need her? Why did the King need her? In what way? She said yes because she wants to live her life, but after being part of such crooked people, will she get to chance to live her life the way she wants?

Malik who enters her room sees her lost in the thoughts and snaps his fingers before her face and says, "Come out of those thoughts and live the real-life, Ridhima,"

Ridhima: I'm just thinking about the upcoming life

While, the professor smiles at her and says, "All the decisions we made in the past leads us inexorably into the future."

Ridhima sees him with a nervous expression and says, "Why are you scaring me, Professor. What about the past decisions? Is this man related to Kabir and Vansh?"

Professor knows he has slipped his tongue and to cover it up he says, "No dear, The Mafia king doesn't belong to anyone. He is his own man. Just remember that future turns into the past next coming week. So, don't overthink much on anything. Try to live happily and don't just your detective skills in that place.

I will be clear on a few things which happen differently at that place. You don't need to know anything. There would be doors which you cannot enter, you might be hearing sounds and cries from that door, but, always leave from the place. You are not going to that place to save someone or be a warrior. You are going to be a doctor in the team who works for the King and his team, Okay?"

Ridhima: Being a doctor who saves a patient, how can you say that we need to move on from one is dying? Aren't we supposed to save them?

The professor smiles at her. Well, this is how she is always. Fighting against the wrong things. However, the knows she is impulsive too. So, he caresses her head and says, "Ridhima, before fighting with enemies, we need to train ourselves so that our defences won't fall weak. You know right, you are quite an impulsive girl. Whatever happened until now, I know you don't regret it because it is all happened due to the choice you took at that time, however, dear it is important not to be impulsive. Learn from it, Okay?

Also, you are there to save the patient, but the man doesn't kill innocent people, my dear. However, if you are not, then you're dead. People change through times; however, King doesn't forget what happened in the past. So, he won't forgive the betrayer. So, don't double-cross, Ridhima. I'm saying again and again. Don't be a little sherlock."

Ridhima smiles at him and says, "I will try to not to be impulsive and also doesn't cross the gates which they have set Professor. However, they should know about me, Professor."

Professor: They know about you, my dear.

Ridhima: How?

Professor: Ridhima, the Man is the King of the Mafia. The moment he accepts you, then that says he knows everything about you. So, don't worry. As I said no one would be saying anything about you neither they would judge you. You will be living with his team. what I got to know is he is India right now. Maybe, you will meet him soon.

Ridhima laughs at his last comment and says, "Professor, you didn't meet him for 20 years, do you think he would meet me?"

The professor smiles Ridhima and child like laugh and says, "You never know, my dear. Now, Get ready. Pack your things."

Ridhima: Now?

Professor: Yes, tomorrow you are going to meet them. I think Man's representative would be here to take you.

Ridhima: I will miss you, Professor. However, who all in his team?

Professor: Ridhima, let them introduce themselves. Okay? Don't worry, I don't think anyone will hurt you. Because King has chosen you, my dear. So, they respect his decisions.

Professor leaves the room while leaving Ridhima nervous about the new dawn in her life while someone else in the other corner is happy that finally, she is going to step into his world.

VR Mansion: -

Angre runs to the dining table with a card his hand and says, "The Alchemist has invited all of us on his cruise Bhai."

Vansh and Rudr get up from their chair while Aryan and Kabir are confused seeing their faces. Aryan is the one who questions first, "Who is he Dad? Why you both are so tense."

Rudr: That Man doesn't have any name. Or people don't know his real name. Everyone calls him with his different names. Angre said Alchemist, while some say The Emperor, The Stewmaker, The Debt Collector and the list goes on, Aryan. The matter is, he never tells where he lives, and here he is calling all of us on his cruise. Isn't weird Vansh?"

Vansh: You're right, Chachu.This time The Man is planning something big, I can feel it. Angre what does he wants from us? Why this meeting suddenly?

Angre: No, bhai. It is not especially for us. It is for everyone in the Mafia. Like whole world Mafia is going to be part of this invitation. However, the leaders along with their family got the invitation. As for India, you lead the Mafia team, bhai so, we also got the invitation.

Kabir tried to intervene in the middle, however, Anupriya gestures him not to speak which got noticed by Vansh. Vansh smirks and turns towards Kabir and asks, "Do you have something to ask? Oh yes, you might be planning to arrest The Man. Then, let me tell you, don't think about it, you will die even before the call reaches to your people."

Kabir shudders his shoulders and says, "I'm not going to arrest him. I want to know why you are afraid of that man. Never saw that Vansh."

Vansh knows what he is implying towards, so he says, "I'm not afraid of him, Kabir. Because I didn't do anything against him. However, The Man is a person whom you one should never befriend or foe with. So, it is not a good thing to get a call from him. It is either your death call or a surprise which you never expect in life."

Angre sense the tension between them to break the ice he asks, "Bhai, what do we need to answer them?"

Vansh: Accept it, Angre. As said, he is The Man one shouldn't mess with. Over and above, he sent an invitation. Also, as I said before, we need his business deals to enlarge our company. So, lets everyone move then. Check when we need to get on to the cruise.

Angre: But Bhai, Sia?

Vansh has forgotten regarding Sia being coma so, he said, "Angre, tell them we need a separate room for Sia. Be clear what we are expecting, so that, no more risks for Sia from anyone" eyeing Kabir while saying.

Angre: Sure bhai

Malik House: -

Ridhima has packed her luggage and waiting at the door for the person to pick her. While, Malik who steps down from the upstairs has a smile on his face and says, "Looks like someone is waiting for someone so anxiously?"

Ridhima can sense his humour so she says, "Yes professor. However, I'm nervous. I still cannot remove Mafia from my head. Yes, I know, I agreed but the fear in me... "

Malik cuts her in the middle and says, "Remember Ridhima. I'm with you. If it is hard for you to be part of the club, I will try all my means to bring you out of it, Okay?"

Ridhima hugs him while however, tears don't fall from her eyes and Malik understands her feelings and tightens the hug and says," I know you want to shed tears but unable to. However, I have seen what a laugh can do. It can transform almost unbearable tears into something bearable, even hopeful. So, my darling, laugh and live your life."

"I'm not here to watch and enjoy the daughter and father duo relationship, Mr Malik," says a man

Both Malik and Ridhima startle to hear the voice; Malik knows who it is, while the man is lost in Ridhima eyes, and Ridhima looks at him with puzzling eyes.
