I don't think. This version is basically just paraphrasing a lot of the long, boring scenes from the Bengali version but doing a better job than the Tamil version. Virat and Sai here are perfect. In Tamil, they are almost lovey-dovey from the first day.

Before Ash said Sai bala ( I can't type in Marathi so akshar is gadbad)

He was there calm and listening to everyone jwala mukhi and dabbang even his chota packets dhamake

Though we are extremely frustrated with Virat 99% of the times, it's during that 1% we realize why we actually started liking this character in the first place. From what we see, Virat is not a man of words (forget his vaadas)... he's a man of action. He seldom wastes words and does what he has to do in his own way.

Sai, though she respects Virat, hasn't completely understood him yet (she's definitely understood him better than Pakhi though). Just like how Virat blindly thinks that she's immature because she's short tempered, Sai too thinks that Virat is that person who'll blindly listen to his family, even when he doesn't like it. There is a long way to go before they fully understand each other, but witnessing that journey is going to be a beautiful experience.

I loved that when Sai actually saw that Virat had written Sai on the plate, she was very very grateful. You see no hints of love... or any kind of romantic inclination. But you can see gratitude, relief and... trust. Sai too doesn't feel the need to say anything else. She just murmurs a thank you and he nods in agreement, a smile on his face.

And they don't really need to exchange words to know what the other is feeling, be it during the reception, when Sai jubilantly looked at Virat after she managed the situation or in today's episode, when Virat looked at Sai with amusement as her expression changed from anger, to surprise to gratitude.

I just hope that the CVs don't go OTT with love triangle and drama just for TRPs. And I also hope that they don't rush any tracks.

Your entire post is ❤️❤️❤️ but the part in red is 💖💖 that eye contact was such a deep, meaningful conversation between two people who have shared so much together in such a short time that no one else around them can feel or understand. It was brilliantly conceived and executed.

It was also in contrast to the first eye contact they make when Bhavani asks Virat to write the name and he's moving ahead. Sai's looking into his eyes, trying to read his mind but he just walks ahead and she's left thinking that he's going to say ok yes just like he did when Ashwini asked for rasams but they didn't actually want to do it. The silent conversations are such a sacred space between two people, no one else can hear or understand it.

Oh yes, I loved that part too about how he just held her hand and took her away. What's the point of breaking your head against a wall? 😄

This is what makes Virat hatke from other characters. He doesn't find the need to talk about and argue and explain everything. Sometimes he just DOES. Often, it ends up badly (like how he just DID the vaada crap) but in situations like this, it just calms the atmosphere so much.

There's another reason why I loved this scene. It remained true to the current SaiRat equation. It didn't show a rapid progression in Sai's feelings towards Virat. A few laughs and conversations and catch-fall scenes may give the impression that Sai fully understands Virat but the truth is, she isn't there yet. She doesn't him implicitly trust him yet and these sort of instances are going to change that.

@italic hey I have a slightly different perspective here....when I saw that scene 2-3 times I realized that when Bhavani says that the name-changing ritual actually lies in husband's hand and asks Virat to do the needful, Sai immediately turns at Virat and I think the questioning look she gives him, is to actually support her as he usually does...that expression of hers depicted something like,hey are you really gonna do it?...you are right though about her being skeptical about trusting him👍🏼....she is on a way to that and it would definitely take time but that subtle nuance of that scene was awesome there👏
