Devyani's back story

What is Devyani's back story in the other versions ? What happened to her ? Can anybody tell me ?

I am guessing she was in love with her class.fellow or someone maybe he was not of.the same caate.or status as Chavans

Maybe she eloped and he couldn't make it because.of the teen tikdi's.tikdam.

I.think he maybe Sai's.professor now and she'll get them.together or somehow Sai will ne the.one for their reunioin.

In Bengali version, devyani married someone sectretly which MMK did not approve of. She got them seperated not knowing that Devi was already pregnant. MMK got the child delivered and gave in for adoption. From childbirth onwards devi is kept on heavy dosage of medicines so she doesn't blurt out the truth.

Nobody challenged MMK till date but now she is scared that intelligent Sai will figure it out and will not shy away from blurting out the truth.

That is why MMK kaku said 'Sai (who stands by truth no matter what) is not like Karishma and should be the last person to know about Devi.

Khandan ki Izzat will be in danger.

Even I was thinking the same because the way Bhavani said ghar ki izzat, secret etc it must be something related to khandaan/cast . I'm sure Bhavani opposed her love . I think that's why she scolds Devi all the time.

Wait, this whole family works under law enforcement, yet they are the ones breaking the law and doing something illegal? Does V know about this and still staying silent about it? Or it is just the elders who know about it? I know others are just TMK's puppy, but atleast i thought V would do something for his sister if he knows what is going on. Keeping your family pleased is one thing, but allowing them to do something ILLEGAL and morally wrong is completely different. If they are giving her medicine to make her insane, then by law they should all be behind bars...now I am excited how they will play out all the scenes.

So now we have a husband/ lover who has to come back and maybe connected to Sai i guess from her college lol and if they wanna tie in devi talking about the hospital and her one time saying she was having a baby then there is some kid too lol

I really hope the family isnt in on this and just tmk and the her two stooges coz if everyone else in the family also knew what happened to devi and didnt try to help her not only are they horrible but breaking the law lol

If karishma knows what happened to Devi then obviously Virat will know then I don't get why & how he's tolerating or hiding things. If he don't know then I'm sure Sai will tell him. But he won't believe Sai easily.

Was there an episode where it shows that Karishma knows about this? I don't seem to remember.
