100% agree with him. India needs to make movies which attract foreigners more. Meaning less focus on songs, dances, unreal action scenes and adaa and more focus on story, script and acting.

I’m all down for well written movies with good scripts but songs, dances etc are often quite a key part of our movies. Hollywood will gladly watch la la land and nominate it for all the Oscars but when Indians do it, it’s ridiculous and pointless?

Hollywood musicals are more like opera. They don't break into meaningless dances. Like the old Govinda movies.

At the moment bollywood has calmed down a bit but still I don't think bollywood item numbers have any market in the west.

If they are aesthetically pleasing and made on a big budget like DDLJ, KKHH, BM then those might appeal to foreigners but not the current item numbers.

Poor Benedict. He was so frustrated but Johnny was a darling. Love how he gave him a hug in the end.
